Wow, this thread m-o-v-e-s
Blue, fingers still crossed it works.Athena - I'll be in your pocket, kinda hoping for a teeeny, weeeny B9 fibroid/polyp that can be easily removed.
Barbara - fingers still crossed for THE Job to appear - at just the right time: NOW.
Mary - definitely talk to the Principal, and use it as a lesson for your students - how NOT to talk to each other. Seriously - they can't be allowed to think that behavior is acceptable. RESPECT.
Rosemary - know just what you mean - and I am dreading Pink October. BTW: does BCO ever stop asking you to click, click, click, if you've already clicked? Who was it that was talking about the "fine" print of how little companies actually give for all these clicks - which become SO annoying. Like collecting bottle caps, cereal boxtops - well, November will be a nice month. Not for the wild turkeys that are eating the grains in the fields around me, but for the rest of us

eta: listening to radio, just learned people are dying from eating wonky cantalopes! Jeeeeez, what's next??????

(((((gracie1)))) So, so nice to hear from you. Everything crossed. Hope you are well enough to keep posting and reading.
-
gracie -- been thinking about you and so, so delighted to see a post from you! Yes, I've got everything crossed that the contents of your suitcase will indeed be beneficial for you.
-
Welcome back gracie! I hope the supplements do the trick for you! (((gracie)))
-
Gracie, I hope you have a suitcase full of miracles!! Looking forward to hearing what you've been given and what helps! Surely, something will. Welcome home.
-
Is the BCOB&G open? Oh yes, it is 24 hours. I am calling it a day. Corona NFL please.
-
Gracie .. so good to hear from you. I sure hope all the treatments you got in Mexico do the trick for you. It sounds like it was a very caring place.
Barbara ... one Corona NFL coming right up.
Athena .. keeping my fingers crossed for good results for you.
Blue .. sure hope the adjustment today brings some relief for you.
Jancie .. have fun in Vegas. I lived near St. George in a little town called Central for two years. The most beautiful place I've ever lived. Are you catching the shuttle from St. George?
Wow .. my shoulder is in pain today ... just popped a pain pill, so I hope that helps. Been sanding the hardwood floor by hand in spots and applying some stain. It's helping the appearance a little bit, but the wood is still a mess. I think it's time to rent a big industrial sander. Those machines are hard to control, but I've done it before, so I'm sure I can do it again!
hugs,
Bren
-
(((((((Blue))))))) - hope the tune up works!!
I've had 3 hours sleep - just emailed my boss and told him I'm not coming in. I really sympathise with you now Athena, I would hate this to happen all the time.

(((gracie)))
It's wonderful beyond words to hear from you.
Hello to all - haven't been posting, but have been peeking in when I can.
L
-
Blue - hope your tune up works - keeping everything crossed for you.
Bren - Just thinking about you and the floor sander has me giggling - it'll pull you across the floor and I hope you can stop it when you hit the far wall - many years ago I hand sanded the hall floor and dh came home from one of his trips and had to rent a sander and I tried my hand at it and never again!!! Good luck - let us know how it turns out.

What a monkey circus of a day. I took my Bobba to the vet because she was losing weight. She has a UTI and is dehydrated. So some of the behavior I thought was because of the new cat (hiding, not eating etc) was because she was sick. She had blood work and that was okay for a dehydrated cat with a UTI but they also did a urinalysis and a tyhroid test (thyroid problems can mask kidney disease on blood tests).Oh and one of her kidneys was small. Great, so she might have kidney disease. NOT AGAIN! It hasn't even been six months since Lucy died of kidney disease(Bobba is at the vet overnight)
Then I went to the family doctor. The nurse. the doctor and the student who was with him all told me I needed a colonoscopy, but it didn't get scheduled. Then he told me the bone density test the onc ordered in 2009 showed I had mild osteoporosis.Wonderful. The onc said it was osteopenia.I have a feeling it just crossed the threshold for osteoporosis and that is why he didn't mention it but I want to fire him for lying to me.I don't know what I'll do.I can't take biophosphanates The family doc wants me to go to a rheumatologist. I said I'd think aboutit.I will probably ask the onc for an explanation and maybe a new test. Then I forgot to pick up my asthma meds at the pharmacy and I am totally out of one of them.
Bartender, pour me a double.
-
Rosemary, sorry you had such a bummer of a day. Hope all will be well with Bobba. One double coming up!
-
Thanks Cherryl
-
Rosemary - poor Bobba - My cat Lucy died from kidney disease at 17 - how old is Bobba? I hope she can live a lot longer.

Hey, Rosemary, crummy health day at your house!
Blue, hoping it works. When/how do you know? Does it take time?
I'd have a double, but I'm too hungry. Trader Joe's chicken coming up!
The sky is falling in my part of the planet. I love rain.

Thanks ladies. It usually takes a week to level off. Some adjustments felt great the first few days and a week later, not so good. Overall I'm still 70% better....my gait is off and that's what they are trying to correct. I have a perfectionist in Dr. Moro.
-
Here's hoping for at least 80 percent! (ETA: Sorry if this sounds pessimistic - of course 100 percent would be better, but those of us who live with a serious comborbidity for which there is no cure are rarely so lucky - maybe you will be one of the few, Blue?)
-
Susie
Bobba is ten. Our Lucy was 20 when she died.I hope Bobba has many more years left. It is hard to see them sick.
Blue I hope your doctor's perfectionism works out for you.
-
Rosemary - I hope they can do something for Bobba - she has many more good years left.
-
Well, I still haven't slept - maybe 3 hours at the most. I went and followed up on something that really annoyed me. When I bought my new wallet, the lady told me I would get 30% off my next purchase if I joined their loyalty program. She didn't explain how that would work. So when I bought the handbag this week, I didn't get a discount - on a bag that cost nearly $150 - that's a lot of discount. I asked her about it yesterday and she said I should have received a voucher by email. Well I didn't because she entered my email address incorrectly. I wrote to the company to get a voucher and they suggested I return the bag, get a refund and repurchase it using the voucher. Which I did today - then promptly spent it on some new pants

Time to try and catch up on some sleep - enjoy your evening/sleep girls.
Sue

Rosemary - sorry about the crummmmy medical day. Are you taking all the "bone support" supplements, Vitamin D3, Calcium 1,200/magnesium600 - can't remember all the other ones. I use Pathways Bone Guardian (I buy it online, tho Athena can go to the Apothecary & check it out for you)
I really think these make a difference. Genetics play an important part, I learned too from my DEXA scans ( yearly) on Arimidex. Used to be good info on thread SusieQ started in Complementary Forum.
Sleeping - I suggest Dry Sherry. Or, Valerian root, or both. With Arimidex, I've kind of gotten used to just sometimes not sleeping - but then I have the luxury of 4 hours afternoon "naps." Really sympathsize with those who can't - not sleeping is, well, if I use the words
, I'll get banned -
Can't sleep either...night or certainly not days. After a cancer scare to the liver (?) I went through so much anxiety, the Dr. put me on a mild 'happy pill' to help that. He said it would help with sleep and it did, Now I think I'm getting a little used to it. Waking at midnight for a couple hours. Anyway, the pet scan turned out normal and it was a different drug causing liver enzymes to raise. But I already was sooo anxious the good news didn't change my body telling me "HELP".
I'm good now...love wine but seems to react the opposite. Wide a wakeeee!
-
I so hate not being able to sleep.
Hoping everyone has a great day today. Still have my fingers crossed but hope is fading.
-
BarbaraA:
Hate that they're keeping you hanging - grrrrrr! Remember when people returned calls when they said they would. Still keeping everything crossed for you.
-
Thanks, Sandy. Just have to say GO RAYS!!!!! E, LOVE your O's. Thanks!!!
-
I love my O's too! I was so happy when I woke up this morning and saw the news! Two great comebacks from two great teams.
Take THAT, Lackeydoodledandy!

-
Ok, I can't let this one pass. Who wouldn't love their "O"s! My mind = gutter! hehehehheehehe!
-
Bllue, bad girl!!!
-
BLUE - tee,heeeee....can't remember - it's been that long....good ole Arimidex!
VALERIAN ROOT - for sleeping. ONly thing that's ever helped me - won't take pills, too afraid of getting addicted.
STOP STOP THE RAIN...and now it's a thunderstorm - can NOT tell you how wet it is here
