Young ladies - forgive me for intruding on your forum, I need some non-cancer help! I'm am posting something that has nothing to do with cancer, and very much to do with getting on with my life. If you have little kids, I am looking for some feedback. A friend and I are working on a podcast for young children to listen to with a parent/caregiver. It is songs and a story and it's about 12 minutes long, and is intended for preschoolers/kindergarten aged children. We have just finished recording a demo and plan to make it available soon to as many people as possible in order to get honest feedback about what we are doing. However, I am wondering if this podcast were available to download from a website, how would you listen to it with your child?

I would listen to it on my computer. If my girls really liked it, I would download it to my iphone to listen to in the car, or to my oldest daughters mp3 player :) My girls are 2 and 4.

Thank you Heather. Your children are the age we are aiming at, so feedback from parents is very helpful to us.

    Hi Gillyone,

I am seven years out, but my children (twin boys) were four when I was diagnosed.  I think it is great that you are doing this because this was by far the main thing I wanted help with at the time.  How to help my kids?  What do I do?

There was so little info out there and doctors almost seemed surprised and unprepared when asked for advice on this.

Anyway a podcast seems to me to be something you would watch on a computer.  However we can now hook our computer up to our LCD TV so maybe I would do that.

    Sandy

Thanks Sandy - this podcast is audio only, no visuals. We actually have the demo up and running now and looking for feedback. Your children are out of the range we are aiming at, but you might be interested in listening, and we would be grateful if you know families with younger children and pass on the information.
