Here's what cheezed me off today

lwarstler:  Wouldn't you like to tell her "No YOU don't understand."  and then have some way of making her understand? Pull out a large, long sewing needle and stick her boob with it. Ha.  Hope those sharp pains start to decrease. Mine took weeks.   

lwarstler, WTF??? Did the surgeon want some big effing kudos for a job well done?  Sounds like a 9 year old girl ... Oh, I worked sooooooooo hard and my hands were sweaty and then I had to use this big metal clamp to remove PART OF YOUR BOOB!  I wonder what was happening in her tiny pee brain that afternoon.

She should have immediately asked you if one, you needed any medication to help with the pain and two explain to you in detail what the heck is happening in there.  Probably still healing, but it wouldn't have hurt her to explain what the eff was going on for you.  I hope you're feeling a lot better now.  I was told to stretch and exercise my left arm so my arm would go back to normal.  I had nerve pain for about a month and that was way annoying.  I also still have a numb area under my arm and I'm not sure if that is permanent or not.  I'm just glad it's under the arm and not anywhere else on my body.  Armpits never meant much to me anyway ;-).

Leah_S, I love the savings on deodorant!  We gotta have something positive from all this sh*t.  17 nodes... that way sucks, but at least they did find the 6 positive and I'm sure since your dx was back in 2008, your doing all you can.

Rohanna, so I posted something in the Sept. chemo group and not one person chimed in.  I was thinking someone would come to the aid of my bitchen... no go.  I suppose I should have posted here to begin with.  I'm still a bit pissy from the day, but time heals all wounds ;-).  Listen to this one.  Woke up and thought I was feeling okay.  My SEs are manageable from chemo, but now I'm just a wee bit crankier then my typical self.

So I strike up some conversation with my husband about something dumb the neighbors did, do you think he took my side? No, he's got to make excuses for everyone else and can't even get on board with me being slightly pissed at the neighbors. I cut down some big palm fronds last week and 2 fell on their side of the fence. We all have gardeners who clean up each week, but instead of letting their gardeners take the 2 fronds away, these bozos decided to throw them back over my fence. My fence is 10 feet high. This must have taken a lot of energy for them to do this. Anyway, I mentioned it to my husband and instead of him agreeing they were losers for not letting their paid help take it away, blah, blah, blah.

Okay, I'm letting that go, but then I get out today to do some gardening/landscaping and all I ask is that my hubby help with the ladder. He's like, "You should save your energy for later when we see our friends." I'm thinking NO, I want to take care of my backyard and as long as I have the energy to do it, darn it I'm doing it!  I'm very big on doing all I can when I can.  The doctor said to not change anything and that the best thing to combat the fatigue is to WORK if you can.  I just think my hubby didn't want to help out.  He was complaining that I should talk to my doctor and ask him if I should be doing manual labor.  Every single time I work hard at something, he doesn't tell me how much I rock, he tells me I shouldn't be doing it.

I think he feels bad that his wife who is going through chemo is out working her buns off while he playing Angry Birds!   I like to work my buns off, it makes me feel productive and healthy and my backyard looks great now!  I'm happy and that is what is important.

BTW, the neighbors were out this morning (I could see then over the fence) and I loudly mentioned to my son that he needed to help with the palm fronds so OUR gardeners could take them away on Tuesday.   When I heard some little kid crying next door, I also commented to my daughter... "Oh boy, now that Sally moved out, we have another crying baby next door." Maybe they didn't deserve my wrath... maybe they did, but I felt better ;-).

temporary tourettes syndrome - i like your way of thinking, i have a list of people i would like to go off on

Rohanna--------there were two words my Dh and I made up when we were both on chemo .I forgot one. it was Tourettes. The way we use it was to say "Tourettes" to break into a conversation to say whatever it was we kept forgetting for the millionth time. The other word was "Splat" that's used when your talking away and completely loose what you were talking about. It was much more fun than saying 'I forgot what I was talking about".

lovemyfamilysomuch, My oh my!  Gosh I hate when someone I actually like says something stupid.  Never know if I should call them on it or just let it go.  You must have some killer self control!.  Next time she brings it up, use a calm voice with a straight face and tell her the gals in your news group want to know, "When they tossed them did they land nips up or down?" That should shut her up from here on in ;-).

Chin (and nips) up!  If no one will talk to you on the other threads it's probably a good sign.  I've been a member of BCO since 09 and barely ever post.  I couldn't even "fit in" with my chemo group back in the day because I wasn't bitchin & moanin about every little thing so all I ever heard was the sound of crickets whenever I posted.  Now I'm just a serial lurker.  It's been almost 2 1/2 years and I'm just about back to normal (normal for me anyway).  You'll be just fine whether the popular girls want to play with you or not.   Stay weird.  Normal is waaay overrated.
