Rohanna, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but if you still find her annoying it's unlikely you're not really sisters. After all, a stranger wouldn't annoy you!

Hi, glad I found this, here's my cheesed off. Went to my surgeon for post-op and explained that I was having a lot of sharp pains still almost two weeks out and still having to take pain meds every night and sometimes during the day. Just wanted to know if something might be wrong. Her answer, "no you just don't understand the time we had trying to get those internal lymph nodes. I had to make a big hole up there....it was a nightmare, but that's ok, cause you were asleep so you didn't have to deal with it." ok...well....I'M AWAKE NOW!!!! It really did seem like she was trying to make me feel bad for HER that it was so hard. Seriously!!??

Rohanna: Thanks,  just the perfect thing. I don't need to go to jail, but I'd sure like to pi$$ her off.

lwarstler:  Wouldn't you like to tell her "No YOU don't understand."  and then have some way of making her understand? Pull out a large, long sewing needle and stick her boob with it. Ha.  Hope those sharp pains start to decrease. Mine took weeks.

lwarstler, your surgeon is an idiot! I agree with hotandcold. She needs a good poke (maybe in more ways than one)! Praying that your pain is gone soon. Mine took about 6 weeks to decrease and after 8 weeks, I'm just now getting feeling back in my shoulder and armpit. Hang in there, it does get better. And come here anytime you need to vent!

lwarstler, WTF??? Did the surgeon want some big effing kudos for a job well done?  Sounds like a 9 year old girl ... Oh, I worked sooooooooo hard and my hands were sweaty and then I had to use this big metal clamp to remove PART OF YOUR BOOB!  I wonder what was happening in her tiny pee brain that afternoon.

She should have immediately asked you if one, you needed any medication to help with the pain and two explain to you in detail what the heck is happening in there.  Probably still healing, but it wouldn't have hurt her to explain what the eff was going on for you.  I hope you're feeling a lot better now.  I was told to stretch and exercise my left arm so my arm would go back to normal.  I had nerve pain for about a month and that was way annoying.  I also still have a numb area under my arm and I'm not sure if that is permanent or not.  I'm just glad it's under the arm and not anywhere else on my body.  Armpits never meant much to me anyway ;-).

Rocky, you crack me up - "armpits never meant much to me anyway". Though since the ALND I haven't sweated on that side.

Lucky me, look how much money I save by only needing deoderant on one side.

Leah_S, I love the savings on deodorant!  We gotta have something positive from all this sh*t.  17 nodes... that way sucks, but at least they did find the 6 positive and I'm sure since your dx was back in 2008, your doing all you can.

Rohanna, so I posted something in the Sept. chemo group and not one person chimed in.  I was thinking someone would come to the aid of my bitchen... no go.  I suppose I should have posted here to begin with.  I'm still a bit pissy from the day, but time heals all wounds ;-).  Listen to this one.  Woke up and thought I was feeling okay.  My SEs are manageable from chemo, but now I'm just a wee bit crankier then my typical self.

So I strike up some conversation with my husband about something dumb the neighbors did, do you think he took my side? No, he's got to make excuses for everyone else and can't even get on board with me being slightly pissed at the neighbors. I cut down some big palm fronds last week and 2 fell on their side of the fence. We all have gardeners who clean up each week, but instead of letting their gardeners take the 2 fronds away, these bozos decided to throw them back over my fence. My fence is 10 feet high. This must have taken a lot of energy for them to do this. Anyway, I mentioned it to my husband and instead of him agreeing they were losers for not letting their paid help take it away, blah, blah, blah.

Okay, I'm letting that go, but then I get out today to do some gardening/landscaping and all I ask is that my hubby help with the ladder. He's like, "You should save your energy for later when we see our friends." I'm thinking NO, I want to take care of my backyard and as long as I have the energy to do it, darn it I'm doing it!  I'm very big on doing all I can when I can.  The doctor said to not change anything and that the best thing to combat the fatigue is to WORK if you can.  I just think my hubby didn't want to help out.  He was complaining that I should talk to my doctor and ask him if I should be doing manual labor.  Every single time I work hard at something, he doesn't tell me how much I rock, he tells me I shouldn't be doing it.

I think he feels bad that his wife who is going through chemo is out working her buns off while he playing Angry Birds!   I like to work my buns off, it makes me feel productive and healthy and my backyard looks great now!  I'm happy and that is what is important.

BTW, the neighbors were out this morning (I could see then over the fence) and I loudly mentioned to my son that he needed to help with the palm fronds so OUR gardeners could take them away on Tuesday.   When I heard some little kid crying next door, I also commented to my daughter... "Oh boy, now that Sally moved out, we have another crying baby next door." Maybe they didn't deserve my wrath... maybe they did, but I felt better ;-).

So I post something again in an active group.   I'm thinking about the strange dream I had and ask anyone if their having strange dreams too.  Mine was so vivid and actually very cool from a Freudian perspective.  Do you think one person commented... no.  Do you think one person even thought it was strange or perhaps funny... no.  Think I'm feeling sorry for myself tonight... yes.

So, when I read this again it almost sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie.  Perhaps we've had Star Trek, The Next Generation on too much around here :-).

I dreamt that my BS had me back on the table, but was replacing the tissue he removed by doing a little neurosurgery. As I was on this table, he says he didn't get the cut just right and I was like... Oh, it's fine if it doesn't show. So there he is cutting another triangle on the back of my head and puts something in there (while I'm awake because it's neurosurgery of course) and then closes me up. We chat a little, everything is fine and that's when I woke up.

It seems I must feel like he took something from me, but the fact that he was replacing what he took into my head????? Hoping for some better sleep tonight!

Rocky, OMG! Are our husbands brothers? I told mine tonight that I wanted to lose a few pounds and was going to try Sensa and he said " Shouldn't you avoid dieting? You might get sick again and lose weight." Thanks, Mr. Positive! I've complained about fatigue for the last 2 months and he wanted to know if I wanted to take a 15 hr. (one way) trip to hang out with him and his old high school buddies and watch football this weekend, then drive straight back. Yeah, like I'd like to have a colonoscopy and a barium enema at the same time! I guess I should just be glad his lobotomy scars don't show.Yell

I wish I could interpret dreams. Yours is a lulu! Are you sure you didn't watch that scene in Hannibal where Dr. Lecter made that guy eat his brain? LOL I hope you have better dreams tonight!

As for your d*&%#@bag neighbors, did you ever see the episode of The Osbournes when Sharon threw a rotted ham at her obnoxious neighbors? Oh how I'd love to do that to yours. What a bunch of OCD dillholes. Let me know if I can ship you a ham that's missed it's sell by date.

I've posted stuff on other threads too, but usually I get ignored. I don't think it's intentional. I just think a lot of the ladies on the older threads have been friends for a while and have a history of stuff to talk about. Please come here and talk anytime you want to. I think we're twin sisters of different mothers! Plus, you're one of the few people who gets my warped humor. I love you!

rohanna, Obviously we are similar types of ladies ;-) and therefore married the same type of guys :-0.  15 hour trip to hang out with the guys????? Oh sure, and maybe when your done with "a day with the guys" you can all go to the steam room and compare d*cks."  And I'm not talking ducks ;-).

So, I finally have an excuse for my loose lips these days.  I told my family and friends that breast cancer gives you temporary Tourette's syndrome.  It's just a new SE.  Here's hoping it lightens up as I get closer to the end of chemo.

I have to say... before the dream I was watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy.  I still think that somewhere in my psyche I must think this guy took a part of me, but since he was putting it back into my brain... maybe he was giving me some special power... insight perhaps???

I love watching Sharon Osborne on America's Got Talent.  A stinky ham you say... my stomach is so weak these day I could actually feel that comment...yukkkkkkkkkkk.  This thread is my happy place.  I try to be a little more civilized in other groups, but I do know that we are all still just a bunch of ladies with different personalities, etc.  Some ladies post a little and say few words, others are a bit more verbal like us.  I don't take things personally in the real world so that's not going to happen in the virtual world either :-).  Love you too, warped minds and all!

So I work in a school as a counselor.  The nurse is really great and she is my best friend at school.  I really do like her.  But she has this bad habit of talking about her experiences as a hospital nurse working in the operating room.  "Oh, we've done a million of them (masectomy),"

"We would just take those suckers (removed breasts) and throw them in the bowl"

She's probably told me this story about 5 times.

    xo

    Really?????

Rohanna--------there were two words my Dh and I made up when we were both on chemo .I forgot one. it was Tourettes. The way we use it was to say "Tourettes" to break into a conversation to say whatever it was we kept forgetting for the millionth time. The other word was "Splat" that's used when your talking away and completely loose what you were talking about. It was much more fun than saying 'I forgot what I was talking about".

lovemyfamilysomuch:  I think that is so incredibly insensitive of the school nurse!  If it were me, I'd have to say something, politely, of course, but still, I'd have to bring it to her attention that enough's enough!

lovemyfamilysomuch, My oh my!  Gosh I hate when someone I actually like says something stupid.  Never know if I should call them on it or just let it go.  You must have some killer self control!.  Next time she brings it up, use a calm voice with a straight face and tell her the gals in your news group want to know, "When they tossed them did they land nips up or down?" That should shut her up from here on in ;-).

Chin (and nips) up!  If no one will talk to you on the other threads it's probably a good sign.  I've been a member of BCO since 09 and barely ever post.  I couldn't even "fit in" with my chemo group back in the day because I wasn't bitchin & moanin about every little thing so all I ever heard was the sound of crickets whenever I posted.  Now I'm just a serial lurker.  It's been almost 2 1/2 years and I'm just about back to normal (normal for me anyway).  You'll be just fine whether the popular girls want to play with you or not.   Stay weird.  Normal is waaay overrated.

Thanks, 2new! My philosophy is "Those who face reality are too stupid to duck when they see it coming". Stay weird forever!!!!!!

I love the people who post here! Although it started as a place to vent, it's also a place to exchange weird humor, just talk, and lift each other up.  And I've always loved those who don't "fit in." Some of the other threads are so dark and gloomy that I feel crappy after I read them. Think I'll just hang out with my fellow cheezers! We'll be the Cheezy Crickets! Chirp! Chirp!

Seriously, 2new, o2b, lovemyfamily, Rocky, Leah_, sas, hotandcold, Divine, juliet, lwarstler, and everybody else, please come here to post anytime you want. If I'm not sick or out of town, I'll be here to listen and post crazy stuff. When I'm visiting the dark side, I come here and I feel better. I LOVE YOU, CRICKETS!!!!

    NIPS UP.........CARRY ON!!!!!
