Hoorah for doctors who take node removal seriously

Was removing the seed from an avocado, knife slipped & I stabbed myself in the palm of my hand on my LE side.Blood gushed out. Went to hospital. I told the sweet young doctor in emergency that I'd had 2 nodes removed from under my arm & and had mild LE. He took me seriously - said that I had absolutely done the right thing by coming to hospital, he cleaned & dressed the wound, told me to go to my GP first thing Monday to have it checked & to have a fresh dressing applied. Also gave me a course of antibiotics.

It's nice to know that there are ER docs that follow recomendations.

Geebung, sorry you hurt yourself, glad you didn't have to fight for care.
In Australia, Neil Piller MD does a lot of research on LE, and maybe his work has spread to the community.
