I had a large tumor....8cm and at least 17 nodes positive.

Her plan is a good one.....these drugs are good.

I am over 7 years out and all is well.....but I know how scary it can be in the beginning....it is pretty hard to wrap your head around it all.  Take one day at a time.  Breathe.  It will get better.

That's what we all hope for Many.  There are no guarantees with any of it but they are giving her the chemo they know works for her type of cancer.  I saw my tumor shrink while on chemo and only had residual left in my lymph nodes at surgery so I got to see the cancer leaving and knew it was working.  Hopefully your wife will too and remember she's ER/PR+ which is a good thing.  I'm sure you feel hopeless right now, I think many spouses do.  My husband once said he feels like there is a fire burning out of control and he is tied up and can't help put it out, it was something he couldn't fix.  I hope you feel some reassurance soon.

Hi many, I am out over 6years and doing great. It does get easier each day.

Worrying is normal, but won't help. Keep positive. there are alot us out there doing well.

    Hold onto that.

    many -

Your love for your wife and concern for her is heartwarming!

Be positive!  I know that might sound too glib but she has gotten such good care, all the comprehensive scans, the right surgery, the right chemo.  Assume the cancer is gone.  Without symptoms or scans detecting cancer then you must assume she is healthy.

Stage IIIc is not a very nice place to be.  I know my husband worries about me constantly.  But we appreciate everyday that we have in a much more magnified way.  We do our best not to worry about recurrence.  It's on both our minds - my sister died from BC so we don't let go of that thought easily.  We just take each day that comes and hope that there will be years more for us to enjoy.

    I'm wishing you peace.

many, AnacortsGirl, said it all.  I could not have said it any better.  I do believe you're a blessing to your wife.  All I can add is that my Angel Wisdom Card Reading for the day is below. Enjoy the peace and joy you share with your wife. And take one day at a time.  Tomorrow is another day.

There are no guarantees, but it sounds as if your wife is in good hands. My situation is similar to your wife's. Right after my DX, I did freak out for a few weeks and felt very scared. But then I thought that it would be quite pointless to waste my time being scared, especially if I was going to end up with less rather than more time. Instead I try to have fun with my husband and in general, make sure to laugh as much as I can and generally focus on all the things I am able to do and enjoy.
