Anyone with adhesive Foobs?

Options

Do you like them?  Do you have to be fitted by a specialist or can you order them on-line?  Do they really stick on and are they comfortable?  I will probably go flat most of the time but there are times that I would like to fill out a certain top or would feel more comfortable normal looking.

I've bumped (brought up to the top) a few previous threads about this subject. If you read through them, they may answer most of your questions.

Thanks Erica, but that thread did not quite answer all my questions.  Can we try again?

I bumped three threads for you, so maybe you haven't checked them all out. Check out the one titled "Adhesive Prosthetics? Good?" There are 25 responses there.

I haven't used contact forms myself, so can only answer by what I've heard here and through my non-profit website, BreastFree.org. They don't have to be fitted by a specialist and can definitely be ordered online. They do really stick, although some women complain that perspiration can cause them to slip, so exercise or hot weather (or hot flashes!) could be a problem. I personally never wanted them because I don't like the feeling of silicone against my skin. There are lots of ways to feel comfortable and look "normal" without contact forms. No one would ever know I've had a bilateral mastectomy and I wear several different kinds of forms, silicone and non-silicone, in mastectomy bras and regular bras.

    Hope this helps!

I have never tried any prothesis so I'm just trying to find out info.  I live in the boonies and will have to drive 3 hrs to get anywhere that might have shops.  Now I know  much more than I did so thank you again!

I have a form that can be used also as a contact form. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it without some sort of light support (could be a normal bra or at least a cami) otherwise I would be a tad nervous about it moving around. It is not uncomfortable but I prefer to use it as a non contact form normally. I use it as a contact form only when I don't want the mastectomy bra straps to show with a dress or top. Hope that helps!

Edited to say- I would recommend getting fitted the first time. The different breast forms looked very different on me and I probably tried 5 different ones before I found the one's I have used ever since.

Thanks, that helps.  I guess I'm just going to have to grab one of my friends and go "booby" shopping in Ft Collins.  I like going topless but there are those times when you need to fill out a blouse or dress.

I have the amonea adhesive prothesis.  I love it !

I use the flexes cami to hold it tight  and I love the way it stays close to my body and I can bend over without feeling that I am showing my "gap"  It works very well with the flexes cami that has a seam under the boob area.

    Good luck.
