Spunkygirl (Bobbie)
Many of you may not have known, but Bobbie's DH was battling brain cancer for years. He passed away today. Here is her care pages blog
I'm sorry to let everyone know this way, but David passed away
about a half hour ago. He was here at home, and Harry and I were
with him. He was an awesome dad and husband, and he had lots of
friends and family who loved us all.
Thank you all for sharing this journey with us, and for being with
us in so many ways.
Love and Peace to all,
Bobbie
***thinking of you girlfriend!

Oh, Bobbie, I'm so sorry to hear this bad news. Sending hugs and warm thoughts your way.
I've always loved the poem "And Death Shall Have No Dominion" by Dylan Thomas, especially this line: "Though lovers be lost love shall not; And death shall have no dominion." My true love died in 1983, and that poem helped me to see that the love you had with someone cannot be conquered by death, for it is eternal.

Bobbie,
I am so sorry to hear your sad news. My thoughts are you with you and your children.

(((Hugs))) Bobbie to you and your family. It sounds as though he was very loved and very well taken care of. He is in a better place now. Not to push too much on you right now, but later when and if you feel up to it perhaps read some of Sylvia Browne's description of the Other Side. I personally find it comforting. But you will know what you need to do to get through this.
Love,
Sharon

(((((((((((hugs)))))))))))
Your life will change. In some ways it will be easier, in some ways it will be harder. But your life will always be richer for having had him in it.
I'm so sorry David has gone. My wish for you now is that your own health stays good so your children will be guided to adulthood by the most loving, caring person they can know. You have shown them what a marriage should be "in sickness and in health"...how a true partner acts in the face of adversity.
Be at peace, Bobbie. You know your cyber friends will be here when you need us. -
Bobbie, i'm so so sorry to hear of David's passing. The courage and love you showed through both your illnesses simultaneously has been awe-inspiring. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your boys and both your families. Know that we are all here for you in thought and spirit lifting your up in this most difficult time. Love, Kim

Fitz, thank you so much for posting this. I really appreciate it. I really count on my cyber girlfriends for support. And thank you everyone, for your warm thoughts and well wishes. Celtic, it's strange that you mentioned that poem by Dylan Thomas, because it will be read at David's service. His father was from Wales, he was very proud of his Welsh heritage, and the family loved Dylan Thomas.
It really sucks right now, but the boys and I will be okay. Love you girls!
Peace
Bobbie

Have been trying so hard not to post and to avoid the boards because I just wanted to move on (was promising myself not to post until my anniversaries), but I just couldn't stay off when I heard about Dave. Janis thank you so much for posting and letting us know. Bobby you always were and are such an inspirational person on these boards. You were one of the first whose story really hit me and made me feel like I could do this. I know these days are hard for you, but hope that you find comfort knowing that there is something better when we reach our forever home. You are well loved and I hope you are feeling that coming across from all of these incredible ladies.
