KS1 - That's encouraging that they are the same lot number ... I sure hope the copper works for me because they are so soft.  I WILL email barry.  Thank you for your help.  I wouldn't have tried again if you all hadn't posted here.  There is a problem because they are so big for an extra small.  Thanks again, KS1 ... I really appreciate it!  :)

    FWIW
*my black and sand are both Oct 18, copper is Nov 9
*copper and black feel similar in size, sand feels slightly larger
*copper fingers are longer than sand except for the extra-long sand thumb
*ring and pinky fingers seem short, relative to other fingers, on all - I'd prefer all 5 fingers were longer

I spoke to Valeria at Farrow - she was very nice, said all the gloves are manufactured in Europe, the sizes should be consistent

Received my copper glove and it is SO MUCH SMALLER than the sand!  The length is perfect, the size is perfect!  I only received one because we were just checking it to see if there was a difference in the size and boy was there a difference in the size!  The sand extra small fit like a medium.  The lot # for the copper is Nov 08 2010.

I will definitely email Barry and tell him the difference.  The difference in size between the Copper and the Sand is significant.

I think I'm reallly going to like these gloves.  Can't wait 'til I get my other one!

Oooops - just put my new glove through the washer and dryer by mistake (didn't check my pants pockets).  Happy to report it survived just fine.  I wouldn't recommend the dryer though bcse the heat is not good for elastic. Surprised

A few days ago, I learned from Barry Creighton that some colors of the SHORTER FINGER Farrow gloves now come in extra extra small. -- KS1

    Here's his email:

We are now able to get specific microfine gloves in extra, extra small, but only in copper and black colors, and only in midfinger lengths. We will have to special order these, so it will take a couple of weeks to get.

KS1 - Great to know!  Thanks for sharing!

I went to the site to buy some more ... and it no longer shows the option for short or long fingered ... I assumed that all the gloves were now long-fingered?  But now from what you say ... they're not?

If I want to order the copper colored long-fingered in extra-small ... how do I do that from the site when there is no differential anymore?

To ensure that you get the glove you want, you will probably need to talk to someone at the company you order from.  I like brightlifedirect.com -- prices are competitive and they have a no-questions asked return policy.  The woman I usually speak to is Nancy, but everyone I have dealt with has been great.  KS1

My LE sent me to see my fitter because of new swelling. The LE therapist is not sure what the cause is, but the fitter says that the glove I have been wearing most of the time (Farrow) isn't giving enough compression for every day use (sigh).

The fitter measured me for a (pricey) custom Juzo glove. Based on the number she wrote down, she ordered the basic Helastic. After I got home, I did some googling and discovered that Juzo also makes a custom "Strong" and that there is a "silver" version for each. The Strong version seems to be the newer fabric. Often newer is better!

I've spent so much money on custom and off-the-shelf gloves, and have so many failed gloves in my drawer, I don't want to buy the wrong one. It's probably not too late to change my order.

Does anyone know what the differences are for these products? I'd love to hear people's opinions about them. -- KS1
