BB size lump on edge of expander

I am 2 months out from my double mastectomy.  My surgeon thinks it feels like the expander.  My medical oncologist feels it is nothing to worry about unless it remains after the exchange (she could feel it).  My plastic surgeon thinks it is a suture coming off of the Alloderm...can't say for sure it is not cancer...but says it is highly unlikely.    I don't know what to think....it hurts and I can't lay on that side.  It is pointy...and like a bb size.  My exchange is November 4.  I have a hysterectomy scheduled from 9/23 or I would move the exchange up!  Anyone else have a lump...on the expander that hurt???

    My second expander started popping out all over the place, I could put my finger on the bumps and push it down - felt a bit like bubble wrap.  One of the bumps was pushing directly on the scar line and rubbing against that already thin skin.  My plastic surgeon at the time replied, "Oh I stopped using that product for just that reason".  I wanted to strangle him, since I couldn't do that I fired him and found a plastic surgeon that took really good care of me.  I hope your issue is as easy to deal with as mine turned out to be.
