    I've purchased a ticket, but don't think I'll be able to attend. Too close to tour de pink, and DH will have a fit if I'm gone two weekends so close together...

    Since it will be tough to get a big grp seated for dinner, what about taking over a bar? Everyone can eat dinner wherever and then meet up somewhere close to the hotel. Smokin Bettys is 3 blocks away. For ppl who don't drink, it's really abt just having a place to meet up.     Thank you for taking the time to look into this for us, I know I appreciate it a lot! I was hoping it would be different with the hotel this year :(

    I was thinking the same thing- we would all do dinner wherever and then get together for drinks afterwards. I would love to try to make sure we all got to be in one place for that part at least. I think taking over a bar - as long as there are seats like you said- is probably the best option we have.

    Last year someone hooked us up with a back room of a restaurant Saturday night. That was a lot of fun. Maybe a private room at the gelato place.lol.

    Cori- last year I planned all that and then it kind of fell apart due to the restaurant but the hotel and Kim's master skills got the restaurant figured out.



    However this year we have even more people and we have no central place to get all the info out this year so it's much harder.



    I think the same floor thing is an awesome idea so we can all kinda be together, last year was awesome with that. I'm gathering some names the rooms are under so we can try to do that this year. I'll PM that to you- let me know before you want to call them.

    Melinda-sounds great.  I figure I will let them get through labor day and then harrass them.  hmmm, I see your point on more people.  we had a pretty big group as it was last year.  how many people are we talking about?  I know I'm a drag, I just don't want anywhere loud, yk?  or we won't be able to hear each other at all!

    OMG- good thing I saw the fb post or I might have missed it!!!  Didn't realize it was coming up that soon!!!  Need to book my flight soon, but hoping to get in Friday morning and leave Sunday evening.  Will let you all know for sure.

    Also, I need a roommate!  Haven't booked anything at the hotel, so someone let me know if you have a room and need a roomie or if I need to book the hotel.

    Just found this site and it is so nice to see other young women who are going through the same thing as I am.  Diagnosed at 38 and now 39 I am about to take the plunge on tamoxifen.  Had my exchange surgery in January and things are finally winding down.  What conference are you talking about?  It would be great to meet others in the same situation as me.

    Smokin Betty's sounds good as a general eating place. Thanks for looking into it! I think if we tell a friend who will tell a friend and so on maybe it will work?

     I feel like the contact list and everything is a mess since there is no central place anymore. There really is no contact list, ugh!

    And Janine, omg! I can't believe you didn;t know it was coming up lol. Rachel is looking for a roomie.

     OKAY, I am calling the hotel this week about rooms on the same floor.  if you want me to add your name to the list, please pm me.  I received one PM already and that's it.  I won't add anyone unless you ask me...

    please pm me your name, first and last and your roomies, first and last.  I will do my best to cajole the people to put us in a block.  calling no later than wednesday of this week.

    My post disappeared :( Smokin Bettys is a very good choice for dinner, drinks or dessert. Low key atmosphere and it's near the hotel. Other choices are the Continental...lots of choices of food and beverage and can handle a larger group, Lolita has a mexican influence and the food is very good and creative list of cocktails is on the menu. Plenty to eat and do in Philly...have fun ladies!

    I just called and asked that they accommodate us on the same floor. :)



    No adjoining rooms bc they are king bed in one room to a room with two doubles. Figured that wouldn't work for anyone,

     Last year we had two adjoining rooms both with double beds - remember?  You and Angie in one room, me and Tasha in the other.
