If you mouse over the picture, it will show the jpg pic number. The 6th pic, DSC_0535 - DS is on the left - with his chin strap behind his head. Pic 35 DSC_566 - DD is trumpet on left in front of the others. Pics at the end are of the memorial.
-
Great pics, Chris! The blue is so bright! I love it!
-
Pic 13, DSC_542 - DD is trumpet facing camera. Interesting factoid: 4 of the 7 trumpets are girls. Pic 55, DSC_605 - DD is first band member on the left.
So proud of the kids - all of them - not just mine

Just noticed a comment on the pics about where the steel came from: The monument was actual metal from the North Tower of the World Trade Center approximately from the 37th floor.

Good Morning....
To be continued later.
I'm not ignoring anybody

Hello............
-
I was busy today.
I was able to finish almost every little stupid thing on my list.
I got some pizza.
Sam is chilling.
((((MIA))))
-
Glad you had a productive day today, Sheila.
Went for a run. Difficult as usual. Want to do more, so I started walking another 1/2 lap - then I decided to run the last mile. Hard, but I did it. Tomorrow I go for the echo to see if there is something wrong with my heart... I hope they can tell me something right away. Otherwise, hopefully primary care doc will have something to say Friday. Wonder if she'll look at my blood work by then... doctors...
Going for an eye exam tomorrow too. I could barely see last Thursday, I was so bleary-eyed. I hate eye exams.
I'm embarrassed to say I'm taking a pharmacy technician class. Trying to find a way back into the workforce. Embarrassed because I don't know if I'll be able to do it - brain doesn't work anymore. Class tomorrow - and a quiz. Have to learn 19 drugs- brand names and generics and how they are given(tablets, IV, etc.), what they are for, and any special instructions (refrigeration, etc.) Sometimes I know them - sometimes I draw a blank. I've been working on them for 4 days now. And I have other things I'm supposed to know too and I haven't even looked at them. Better get reviewing. Wish I wasn't so fuzzy headed.
-
Spent the day with contractors, flooring people, etc. The rest of the week will be the same. I really, really am dreading moving out. That is complicated by the fact that nobody wants us and I don't blame them - 90 days, a big dog,......
My FIL announced this morning that he was having some "bleeding". I said where. He said "you know...". I don't know why I said "your penis?". He said "oh hell no, it's my butt". Great - I don't need to lose him right now. Tomorrow we have doctor appts. He is such a great guy and so concerned with inconveniencing anyone. I couldn't have asked for a better FIL.
I wish I were like Sheila and could say I finished almost everything on my stupid list.
Changed the shower stuff today. So much for her needs. My budget has moved into first place. I am so happy with the adjusted plans - it (the change) has nothing to do with her. It has to do with what really works and what I want to afford.
-
chris....Good Luck with the DR and your new career.
Diane...Did you mean the baby shower or your bathroom shower?

Hello Linda...How is that wall going..........
-
I hope your FIL feels better.
-
Diane: if it's red blood, probably anal fissures or hemorrhoids like I had. If it's black/grey stool, that is a sign of intern ailment. My Dad has an ulcer and it weeps that is his stool is dark grey.
-
Deb.....i remember when i googled anal fissures
-
Good for you Chris!!
Enjoy Sam;)
I still laugh every time I hear or read anal fissures. That was so funny when you had to google it.
I hope your FIL's appointment goes well and it's just anal fissures.
-
Deb - thank you for the bright red blood reminder! That is what he says it is. He had prostate cancer radiation and thinks it is from damage to his colon. Then he decided it was because of his coumadin levels. Now he says he is just fine and doesn't want to go to appts tomorrow.
Anal fissures is such a funny phrase. My kids used to collect words that tickled them like "macadamia" or "mukluks" or "bouffant". It started with a hysterical skit by The Vestibules. You should google it sometime. They now collect/utilize phrases that they say are classic Mom such as "loosey goosey" or "gentle hydentist" which I actually really said once.
Ok, no idea why I am spewing. Maybe because DH and FIL are watching football. Thanks for putting up with me.
When I wake up, I will decide if I am going to argue with FIL about doctors appt. If you are thinking that my DH should do it, he and I agree but my FIL doesn't want him involved because he says my DH isn't smart enough about these things.
-
Hope he goes to his appts - just to make sure - and that it's something simple that will go away quickly (if it's not already gone) or is easily treatable. (could be a hemmorhoid too)
When do you have to move out? I hope they get the work done faster so you're not out that long. (But I know how those things go)
((((((((TOL)))))))))
-
Hope he goes too. Maybe take him out to lunch or something after, to bribe him to go??
-
Beautiful Day in NY.
-
Same here. Heading out on the Harley with my hubby.
-
I dont know where but I'm heading somewhere too.
Sandy....Sand it's on its way shipped yesterday. ((HUGS))
-
Thanks Shiela so look forward to receiving it thanks....you ok?
Waiting for dr. to call eyes are watering (SE) as I type, am not in bed thank goodness, feeling ok, Michael should be home soon or maybe not, they have counseling today, excellent, wish it worked.....they were late today, Monday night football, they better figure out their time management.
How is everybody else?
Linda how r the boys?
Chris how is DD?
Deb how is your dad?
Diane, please tell me how the DIL is and how the shower is going?
Raj, been thinking about you where r u ?
-
Blondie.........hope today is a good day for you...............It is a beautiful day here in Drexel Hill........thought of going for a walk, and then said..............the hell with it..........just can't get my self enthused about anything...........have a membership at Planet "Fitness, and have been making my $10.00 donation since Feb.2011................after finding out about the BC. and all the bullshit that goes with it, just stopped going....................Actually I am still so friggin tired from the Rads (ended June 15th), I don't feel like doing anything..................do we ever get back to normal.................doubt it........hugs, hope you feel better
-
((((Sandy)))) I hope this gets easier for you. I'm so sorry you are having such a hard time. I am always thinking of you! XOXO
I'm still waiting to get back to normal.....or what ever it was before bc.
-
Hello, yup, I'm peepin.
Sandy, I will be visiting my Dad after work. So I will be able to observe him tonight. The homecare cna's are stating he is difficult to wake up in the morning to get him dressed and showered. Sometimes he is refusing to take a shower and his breathing is sounding labored. This seems to be the beginning of a hospital stay.
Good news is he has been approved by the VA to have homecare so I don't have to pay them.
-
He is all better
It's not like I can check. He goes home Monday and I guarantee you he will be at the doctor on Tuesday. I know he isn't all better because he does laundry every day and he told me not to mention it to the rest of the family. As for the shower, decor is determined, food is chosen, just waiting to see if we will need a tent in order to stay outside. I hope not. I am not sure how anyone will know it is a baby shower but if it makes her happy...... I am confident I will do something wrong and I will hear about it. I decided not to run anything else by her and that has worked well for me
She will never like me, I might as well just face it.Sheila - where are you? You are awfully mysterious these days.
Sandy - I am thinking of you as well, along with all the other TOL'ers. Believe it or not, the boys will eventually gain time management and other skills
Feel better.Linda - the boys are back in school which makes life quieter for a few hours per day. Are you enjoying your time or is it consumed with the builder/project?
Deb - I didn't realize your dad was in a tough period. I hope he does well and that you don't have to get overwhelmed by it all.
Chris - You must be enjoying your free time, too? You sure do have lots of activities!
Ok, I am off to my gyn appt. Tomorrow, I have another mammo. Ugh.
-
I'm here.
Diane what did you mean by mysterious?

Well change of plans it got to hot for walking so I cooked all my veggies and made red lentil soup. i heard the cold is coming so we need to stay warm.
Sat outside with my friends. We laughed and talked.
I realized something I really missed the life in Hawaii. It's almost like I want to move there..............
-
I want to move there!
-
I'm really serious. I felt and looked happier.
Even MH yesterday she said i looked so different and happy.
I'm missing Hawaii very much.
If I only knew couple of people ...............my own age. I think I'm dreaming ................
