Congratulations Foxy! I am so looking forward to becoming a grandma someday....
I hope you're continuing to get better Reesie.
My dear husband and I are at Hilton Head. We arrive here this evening....our first visit. Does anyone know of the best places to eat here and their favorite things to do?
I hope everyone has a blessed, peaceful Sunday!!

I am sorry, but I cannot figure out how to post a picture on here from an e-mail. I feel so stoopid. I am so sorry. I have been trying for over an hour and I am about half crazy. I tried reading the tutorial but might as well be Greek. I have no idea where to even find a URL...I am just lost here. I have tried copying, cutting, pasting and everything else I can think of. I have never been computer savvy at all.
I can only tell you how incredibly gorgeous this little girl is. I am sure Foxy will get photos to you all soon. I feel so bad.........

-
I think YaYa nailed it!
-
Congratulations Foxy! I bet she is beautiful and I love the name.
My little Granddaughter is 4 1/2 and I love her to pieces - she has a place in my heart that when I haven't seen her for a while, just aches. I haven't seen her since July & I'm so overdue to hold her & love on her. We talk on the phone & that helps a little. We're going up early Oct. and I can hardly wait. (she's 7 hours north of me)

Enjoy the little sweetie!

All this talk of grandbabies makes me jealous!! It's going to be a long while for me--I hope at least--youngest is 15 and the oldest is a soph at UF. When 1st DS moved into his dorm last month, my youngest DS looks at the girl's names on the door across the hall from his bro's and announces " I don't want to be an uncle yet!" ( the dorm floors went co-ed this year) His older bro has yet to go on a date yet so I'm not hugely concerned about that happening just yet!! Now in my college days, we couldn't have boys on our floors after 9, 10 on weekends. Boy do I feel old!!

Mystery pic is a rearview mirror????
-
cmblastic, That is funny how different colleges are. We are about the same age, there were no such restrictions at my college. Floors were coed. Bathrooms, however were either male or female. My son is now in his second year of grad school. Undergrad he went to the same school as me. Even the bathrooms were coed when he went.

Good afternoon ladies,
Everyone came up with wonderful and imaginative answers, so with out any further ado -
The winner of the Weekend Mystery Pic......
YaYa5!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She was right - it is a very closeup picture of the reverse taillight lens of my dd's toyota.
Have a great Sunday all!

So, YaYa5, gets all the glory for her keen observational powers this week; and the honor of posting the Mystery Pic next Saturday. Way to know your car parts, up close and personal, Yaya!
-

-
Congrats YaYa on correctly guessing this week's mystery pic.
-
Congrat YaYa and good luck with the treatment. This 3 out of how many?
Just got home From a great concert. One of the chiors my DH sings with did a 9/11 memorial concert of patriotic music at the Kimmel Center. It was a 150 voice chior with full symphony orchestra and some great soloist. Everything from Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy to the Star spangle Banner.
-
jan, it's the 3rd of 6 txs. half way there!!
-
Kay- I lived in a girls' dorm, one of 4 at my school at the time. There were co-ed dorms at the time, but my parents weren't too cool about me being that close to that many boys!! Heeheehee. WeOur dorm was connected to the only all boys' dorm on campus. Talk about a bunch of mamas' boys!! And we still managed to have our fun!! But I should say I went to FSU the year after Ted Bundy and that was the first year that dorm front doors were locked on campus. Needless to say, the school was pretty strict about locking doors and curfews after that whole mess.
-
Good Luck YaYa. You can do it!
-
Been off of the boards most of the weekend. Foxy congrats on the new grandbaby. GD are wonderful
-
YAYAY Good luck! wishing you the best!
-

janinnj....the concert sounds wonderful! You must be proud that your husband participated in such a meaningful event. That is awesome!
-
Wondering how you're doing Reesie? You said you'd be able to be back to work in a week, is that still the plan? Hope you're feeling well.
-
Way to go, YaYa. Congrats on good guessing and best wishes on number 3!
-
Good luck YaYa! We'll all be there with you keeping you company!!
-
Any Texas ladies on here - some of us are planning on meeting at the Spaghetti Warehouse around 11:00 in San Antonio on Oct 1st. Please let me know if you can come.
-
Foxy - congrats on new granddaughter, you all are blessed.
YaYa - way to go, had no clue
Well I survived Friday nights game, got home around 1:30am Sat morn. Did not sleep in as long as I wanted. DS slept until noon, gota love him. Still a little stiff this morning. Not doing anything this Friday except enjoy the game and the band.
-
Good guess YaYa and good luck with treatment this week. I be there holding your hand!
My GD asked about what all the fuss was about 9/11 and she heard about towers falling. At first she thought it was a funny thing, then when we talked and showed her on the Internet what happen, she stood there with her hand over her mouth just dumbfounded! She asked if people died and when her Dad (my DS) told her how many she just about came to tears trying to understand why something like that would happen. She even asked about the boys and girls on the planes. I think it is so important that the young children today know this and not just run past it in a history book. They don't even say the pledge of allegiance anymore in school or teach the Star Spangled Banner. This just seems wrong to me. What do you ladies think? Kitty
-
I think it's awful too, Kitty. I have always homeschooled my children but someone who teaches at our local school district recently told me that they are no longer going to teach American Government in their high school because it's not included on the state tests. Everything here is becoming more and more geared to passing the state tests. Aggravating.
-
Congradulations YaYa on the half way mark
-
My Dad had an appt with the MO today and we were expecting bad news because he had a CT scan last week and my mom picked up the report and it said one of his lungs had increased activity in the tumors. Well the radiology doctor did not look at his history that he had had radiation. Good thing MO picked up on it and called and after the radiologist realized that he had had radiation a few months ago he is now diagnosed properly with radiation pneumonitis. Why do health care profesionals not look at history when it is clearly there for them. Too lazy I suppose. Anyway no chemo today and he is getting treated for his pneumonia and will do chemo next week.
-
Oh thats just so dang madning when they do that Sherry. How bout if I only did my job half a$$ and where would I be? Not working here. I hope he improves Sherry!
