Re-irradiation study

I was wondering if anyone here has decided to be part of a study that is doing radiation for a local recurrence that has been previously radiated? I have a recurrence of dcis 11 years post lumpectomy and rads. Not sure if I qualify for this study yet - waiting results of biopsy of other calcifications is same breast. Worried about more radiation and late effects and wondering if I'm just postponing the inevitable.

Can you provide a link to the study? I had Mammosite radiation and had a major recurrence. I'd like to see where it's being conducted and if I would qualify.

I'm sorry I don't have the link Michelle, but the study is RTOG 1014. It is a phase II study of Repeat Breast Preserving Surgery and 3D-Conformal Partial Breast Re-Irradiation (PBrl) for Local Recurrence of Breast Cancer.

I am in Michigan and my Dr is out of William Beaumont Hosp. I believe there is also a study or similiar one at U of M Hosp.
