I have the pony tails. Alas, that was a long time ago.
-
thnewme - we could put all different colored tassels hanging from it, and no one would notice
-
I'm cracking up here!
-
This thread is the BEST medicine!
-
OMG .. I duck out to be tortured by the dermatologist and come back to strippers and zombies. I'm the one in the middle, as I desperately need that chainsaw! Can I hang some tassles from my chainsaw?
I read Lorax's deleted post. What a joke .. nothing there worth deleting! It was a very nice post. What is going on here?
Well .. the doctor burned four spots on my hands. Ouchie! They look really attractive too. NOT. These poor hands could pass for zombie hands now.
hugs,
Bren
-
Bren, OUCH!
You can't leave us alone for a minute! hehehehehehe!
-
Oh Bren, NO tassels - it's a chainsaw safety violation! But we can surely find some good glittery blingy gloves to protect the hurting hands!
-
Yikes Bren ... no wonder you didn't want to go!
-
Ouch, Bren. Sending healing thoughts your way.
I want an Uzi!!! Love that automatic three-spray.
-
Watch out, Barb. Your conservative side is showing!
-
Yes, Allison, it would look great on the gun rack in my pickup truck.
-
LOL!
-
Thanks gals! Nothing like a little sympathy to make the booboo's feel better!
hugs,
Bren

I only have a few things to say about Blue. After meeting her in NOTL, I found her to be - Positive, kind, funny, intelligent, always smiling, beautiful. amazing, and brave. Did I miss any adjectives? I have PatMom blocked so I didn't read her comments. Did she use the "cult" word? Blue, do you like oysters? We could be the Blue Oyster Cult!
Barb, you looked pretty good behind the wheel of that SUV. Can a pickup truck be far behind? ;-)
Bren, OW OW OW! I hope you threw a lit match in your dr's hair! Gotta share the misery, I always say.
Athena - I work 8 hours/week keeping books for a nonprofit. It's fun and easy and I love the people there.
thenewme - tinfoil goes with everything. It's the ultimate fashion accessory!
I can't believe someone reported TheLorax's post. What the heck is going on?

A bus stops and 2 Italian men get on. They sit down and engage in an animated conversation. The lady sitting next to them ignores them at first, But her attention is galvanized when she hears one of them say the following:
Emma come first. Den I come. Den two asses come together. I come once-a-more! Two asses, they come together again. I come again and pee twice. Then I come one lasta time.'
The lady can't take this anymore, "You foul- mouthed sex obsessed pig!" She retorted indignantly. 'In this country, we don't speak aloud in public places about our sex lives!"
'Hey, coola down lady,' said the man, 'Whooza talkin' about sex? I'm a justa tellin' my frienda how to spell ' Mississippi '.
-
Lindasa, hahahahahahhahaahhaaha!
Enjoyful, you just described yourself! I'll eat anything, well except for that chocolate cake on "The Help". I finally watched it. It was good, made me cry but also made me very angry.
-
Thanks Enjoyful for proving my point about guesses sometimes being wrong, and potentially hurtful.
-
Waving at Libby if she stops by to read. Hope - hope - hope you got rid of some of those blasted drains today!
enjoyful ... just a question not a guess ... but are your doctor's always very very careful not to hurt you? For their sake I hope so

Barb will be the pretty blond driving the monster pick-up truck complete with gun rack and Uzi ... clearing the way for our scooter convoy.
ETA ... actually Libby I HOPE you got rid of ALL of them!
-
Linda .. that was funny ... I had to read it twice!
Enjoyful .. my dermatologist is the sweetest lady on the planet. Everytime I cry 'Ouch!' she hugs me!
I can just see Barb leading the convoy after riding in the SUV with her for two days! Yowser .. that tiny gal knows how to drive!!
Thinking of Libby too today .. hope she's feeling better.
hugs,
Bren
PS .. I just want to add that I've known Blue for a very long time .. and I love her dearly .. she's one of the best friends a girl could ever have.
-
Lindasa -lol!
E - sounds like a great job. And the perfect hours. Enough to do something but not be overwhelmed.
I've never had the pleasure of meeting Blue in person, but I could have said what E said just by my experience here. E - Blue is right about you, too!
Bren, hope you feel better soon.
ETA: Barbara, does your truck have a name?
-
Sending my daily gentle hugs to HL. Hoping she is drainless today!!
Wabbit, THAT is what I need...a monster pickup truck. I mean, afterall, I am a Florida cracker don't you know. Yes, the Uzi will look great up there in the rack with the Remington 30.06 semi.
-
I'll have a Corona, NFL, please.
-
E - proves my point - some people keep such a close eye on this thread, then join others to criticize and make fun of the women who post here. Yuck.
E - you aren't missing anything

Linda - fabulous!
-
LOL ... at least you get to be a cracker. I have to be a Hoosier .... and nobody even knows what that means
I thought Floridians were mostly called 'retirees'! -
Hahaha Barb! I remember "Corona, NFL" from our lunch in Tampa!
-
E, HL
Hope you guys aren't getting tooooo flooded - friends of mine near Bethesda said it's really bad in Ellicott City, and up towards Baltimore....stay safe.
-
Floating home from JOB was an experience, but if you drive like you have half a brain (and I most assuredly DO have half a brain! ha!) you'll be okay.
I imagine Ellicott City is bad - they do have a bad history of flooding.
-
Sunflowers .. we're good here, no flooding in my area.
Barbara .. you made me lol thinking about the Corona NFL. Reminded me of dinner at the Italian restaurant. I sure miss you guys.
Has anyone seen or heard from AnnNYC .. haven't seen her today.
hugs,
Bren

WHOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!! Four out of the remaining five drains are OUT OUT OUT! The fourth was marginal but I made a good case (including some high-pitched whining) and he laughed and agreed. Last drain is right hip, easily manageable. Much much better than the axillary drains which have irritated the undersides of my upper arms to the point of chafing. Last drain out next week. Can resume caffeine and chocolate RIGHT NOW!!! Can sleep flatt(er) rather than sitting up. Can walk as straight upright as I can until belly incision pulls ... Keep practicing. He is thrilled I have had no narcotics since last Tuesday (six days after surgery) -- only tylenol and only one since Saturday. He is also thrilled at how well the noobs are doing ... They will be very nice. Stage II will be sometime in 3 months or so, with a week's recovery time max. We have agreed that pain management should start out with T3 and go up, rather than heavy-duty morphine derivatives and work down.
So, after a nice Mexican food lunch, I am sitting on my couch tired but happy. It was a good, if soggy, day in LibWorld!
Thanks for your continued care and well-wishes, my friends. I have been lurking but too tired to jump in. Not too tired, however, to say that Blue is amazing and courageous and wonderful and I love her dearly. i am proud that she considers me a friend.
XOXOXOXO all!
