Lumps from Fat Transfer or Scar Tissue?

Options

Hi All!  It's been awhile, but I find myself needing some info from you ladies who share a similar situation :)  In a nutshell, it's been 3 years since DX..2 years since implant reconstruction..4 months since fat graft to repair a small hollow in left side around implant.  Before I go on, I have been participating in the P90X program since July 5th as well and lost 15 pounds to date.  Over the weekend, I found 2 very small, hard, round and smooth (not movable) lumps.  Coincidentally, in the same areas where I had the fat grafting done.  From what I 've read, it's more likely to be a necrosis, cyst or calcification of some kind than a recurrence.  I see my Oncologist tomorrow morning.  Anyone have the same experience?  I'm not too worried.  Worst case scenario is cancer and I know what to expect this time.  Best case?..Well, anything is better than cancer ;)  I'm in the best shape of my life and other than these two little lumps, I feel fine.

    Hi Lori,

I had the same experience very recently - I had a fat graft around my implant and found some hard nodules around there a couple months afterwards. My oncologist checked it out and was sure it was just from the fat graft. That's as far as it got, no testing or anything.

Post back and let me know how your appointment goes! I'm writing this from my chair in the infusion room getting my 2nd to last Zometa infusion!

Thanks for sharing Andrea!  I will definately keep you posted.  May I ask why the Zometa?  I'm not familiar with it.  I will say congratulations anyway for being close to the end of your infusion :)  Even though I don't know much about it, the end of any cancer treatment is the beginning of recovery :)
