Blue - the monkey's a lot smaller and can live on less.  Plus, he probably ran off during the night and gathered his own damn coconuts!

Chocolate makes up for a lot of faults, scuttlers.  Did they want the smallest number?  Well, since there are probably NOT an infinite number of coconuts on the island, and since they were worried about rationing, I'd say yes.  But I don't have the equations to prove it.

AND they only had a fixed number of hours to do all that counting, division, and hiding.

I'd like to know what happened when they figured out one of them had a heck of a lot more coconuts than the rest of them.

Redistribution of coconut wealth, of course!

I would hope so, but I think greed got in the way, and they made the Coconut Party!

    Hey Jancie~

I am only here at 1:30 in the morning thanks to my insomnia.

I cannot play in the sandbox now as I need to be up by 6:30.

Please make a sand castle for me...

    Morning girls!!

We are off to a town called Callender today. We did a whisky distillery tour on Skye  yesterday - Talisker - very interesting although I don't drink the stuff.

we drove across the island on a B road and met some cows and sheep on the road - that was fun. It rained most of the day and was blowing a gale in most places but I got to see a fair bit of Skye and didn't have to do any walks. I ended up looking like a highland woolly coo - major hair fluff.

I did the B&B man a big favour last night and reformatted a laptop and installed Win 7 for a friend of his. He is really happy with that and that pays them back for doing my washing. They are THE MOST lovely people - I have loved staying here.

Sorry I'm not commenting on your posts but this wee laptop is quite hard to type on. But - good luck Barb!!

I'll save the IQ test until I get hometo OZ.

    lies, lies, lies, lies lies....incredible.

    'Morning everyone!

Blue, I LOVE that song. Those IQ tests are great - usually do terribly on them. Do you have any more?

Sorry Jancie!  I should have stuck around for a while rather than flopping around, sleepless, in bed.

Good morning, all!  I spent two hours last night listening to a Tea Party rally.  Nothing new, just the same old "lets get these dirtbags out of the White House."  Edited to add:  This was the rally in which a comedian supposedly mocked Trig Palin.  I listened to that part twice and didn't see it that way.  He mocked liberals for being similar to Trig Palin, or "special needs children," but didn't mock Trig.

And now for a rare Palin congratulatory moment - she ran a half-marathon while in Iowa and came in second for her age group.  I admire anyone who can run (lewing, this includes you!) without passing out.

Heading off to get ready for part-time JOB.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

    E

Glad I slept thru the flak - and fun to catch up on the jokes this morning.

SusieQ - I spent some time on Skye, loved it.  Yes, mostly rain, but beautiful.

Giggling that someone is still trying.  Nort worth making popcorn for tho'.

Athena - I agree with you completely about the weather effect - think it's the barometric pressure - when it gets very low, I fall asleep.  No sense fighting it - just flop, sleep.

Hope eveyone has a lovely day.

E - Good luck at your job - can I ask what you are doing?

Blue - it can be a disease as deadly as cancer. So can narcissism. Lack of dignity and self-respect are sad to see - especially to that extent and at that age range. Most people have more poise and maturity by the time they reach voting age.

    Sunflowers, exactly. Flopping off here.

    Good Morning Peeps!

Blue .. I didn't even attempt that puzzle.  It made my head swim.

Scuttlers .. My son, Mr. Physics, would have done the same thing your hubby did .. and drove me crazy explaining all the formulas. ha!

Sunflowers ... I slept through all the jokes too!  I go to bed too dang early for all the fun.

Athena .. the air is so heavy here this morning.  Damp and very humid, but cool out.

Lorax .. it's so nice of you to speak kindly of me ... I wish I could remember who you are.

I'm off to the dermatologist today.  Have something wrong with my finger, of all spots.  Thank goodness nowhere else this time.  It looks like a basal cell on my finger, so I hope she biopsies it instead of just burning the hell out of me.  Since I have a 26-year history of skin cancer, she'll check every square inch of my body.  wahhh.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Athena, I used to have lots of them.  I'll see if I can dig some up later.  My cognitive skills have declined dramatically because of PD and now the DBS.  I can't remember shit and my reflexes both physically and mentally are slow at best so I try to stay away from them.  I used to have a pretty high IQ but no more.  At least I passed it on to my daughters.

Thanks Blue!  I'm such a baby ... I start getting a panic attack about an hour before I have to leave.  I'd rather go to the dentist!

I know what you mean about losing some of our brain power.  But I don't have PD as a reason, I just got less smart somehow!  ha!

    love you buddy,

Looks like I missed a lot of intellectual discussion.  I used to love those IQ test too.  It takes a lot of energy for me to get through them now.  However, I did get 9/11 on the one.  Missed the 4th of July and widow question.  But, in fairness, I said that it was not illegal for the man to marry because there wouldn't be any law reagarding this issue as he is dead.

We have a few real estate agents coming through our property over the next few days.  But I will keep popping in as I walk by my computer with duster in hand.

Wonder why Lorax's post was removed by the community? I read it but of course can't remember what it said. All secrets are safe with me because I have CRS. Maybe E screen shot it!  At least the mods know who did the deleting and will reinstate it if it broke no rules.

Another cool rainy day here. Never got out of the 60s yesterday and won't today, either. Quite a change from last week.

ETA - I also got 9 out of 11. Missed the ark question and one other - CRS.
