Fantastic!!!! Glad you're not going to be joining our "club".

The final report shows no signs of metastatic disease. The radiologist wants a plain film of my L-5 as it should uptake in the bone marrow consistent with active chemotherapy. I have had Neulast a 4 times in a row and my WBC today was 22, so she is quite convinced that that is the issue. My labs are otherwise perfect and show know issues with bone marrow. I can sleep better, but just would like the x-ray so we know my bone marrow has no issues.

That's wonderful!!! You got the news we all wish we'd gotten, so don't waste it! Do something fun.

I came home to two homemade meals from concerned friends. Tomorrow is my first taxol and I the fun thing I am going to do is pig out and sleep. I haven't done much of that. Helping DD with his homework. Trying to be the mom I am.
Ladies, thank you. You guys are wonderful. I hope it is ok for me to follow your journeys and offer my support. You are truly great and helped me so very, very, very much. Even to just ask the right questions.
The one thing I realized during this test today is that my life is different now, and will always be. But, how I handle those moments is of my own making. One foot in front of the other. One day at a time. Thank you sisters for helping me see that. Big, big hugs.

missswim - I am so glad to hear that your scans didn't show anything to worry about. Taxol if you don't already know can cause neuropathy in your feet and/or hands. If it starts to develop be sure to let your onc know so that they can follow it or give you medication if necessary. Good luck - Jenn

Hi there
I can share a common experience with you. First, really take a hard look at all the new habits between the time you finished treatment and what you are experiencing now. I had the same persistent lower back pain about 1 1/2 years after finishing up treatment. It was nagging at me but I had to keep in mind that 1) I had started a desk job that required me to sit all day (something I never did before) and 2) I wore heels more than ever to this job. Did the bone scan anyway and it came out clear. It's very easy to revert back to cancer because that is what we are most afraid of. It is more likely to be something else than a recurrence. Hope this helps. I did find two lumps in my left reconstructed breast (implant) over the weekend. Going to see the doc tomorrow. But I have to keep in mind that I had fat grafting 4 months ago in that breast and lost about 15 pounds from P90X since July, so there are alot of other things they could be like scar tissue or fat necrosis and I can probably feel it easier now since I lost the boob fat

Thank you so much. Bone scan and follow up x-rays are negative. The radiologist said "you have a great skeleton." Had a VERY long visit with my oncologist before my Taxol yesterday. Referring me out for PT, massage, and a pschy to try to help me manage this anxiety. You ladies were such a help. Appreciate it so much.

Thank you so much for all of your support. I could very easily find myself here one day and that is not lost on me. Your support despite your own challenges has been very appreciated, humbly so. Ann, so glad to hear the consult went well. I have been thinking of you and was very happy to read that you are going for it. Can't wait to hear more and take care of yourself
I made my annual donations for BC this week, which I always did prior to BC. But very different this year- NO komen for me.
Instead, Stand up to Cancer, who I believe is doing good work putting teams together to get research to us faster and in a promising way, and the other to Metavivor.org , in honor of the ladies on these boards. I admit I am a bit of a lurker, but you ladies amaze me. And you deserve a large chunk of the money raised by Pinktober to go toward research to continue to improve and eventually cure the beast. Now, not in 5, 10 , or 15 years.
