6 month MRI next week
I have not been on in a while but not a day has gone by that I have not thought of and prayed for my sweet bc sisters and angels on there. I just got my reminder of my dreaded 6 month mri and am sweating already. Don't get me wrong, I am so very blessed to have a high risk onco and super team of techs and radiologist looking after my breast health, but at just 37 and less than a year into this. I am already quite tired of the testing, biopsies that lead from the screening, the dreaded wait for path results, and the doctors appointments encouraging me to take tomax. Here is hoping for a clean scan, or these babies may just need to come off. Enough already! Did I say how much I appreaciate this forum! Love you all!

I have my 6mo MRI in Oct. This will be my second. I, too am quite tired of the testing, biopsies, etc. And I agree, they just may have to come off. Will see what the outcome is first. Good luck next week. Hang in there. )))Hugs(((.

OOPS- I somehow managed to lose my reply in CyberLand. Sorry if this post appears twice!
I completely understand your anxiety re: your upcoming 6 month follow-up MRI. I finally got to the point where I could no longer play the waiting game and was able to have my insurance approve a PBMX scheduled for 10/24. I'm scared as all get-out but I know that I'm doing the right thing for ME. I can't live my life examining my breasts for changes every 5 minutes (and that's what I've been doing for many years--- my hand is ALWAYS checking my right boob!!!) While my Mom is a BC survivor, I must say that she doesn't worry half as much as I do about a recurrence. I wish I could have her faith in that she is doing everything possible to prevent a recurrence (good nutrition + exercise.)
Sorry to be so long-winded. I'll be hoping for the best MRI results possible!

I understand your anxiety completely! After my first one when they told me I would need to have an MRI guided biopsy, I nearly lost it with anxiety. I actually take 2 Ativan prior to my MRI's now simply because it makes it less stressful and claustrophobic like. Unfortunately it doesn't help with the aftermath of waiting for the results. I take it for my biopsies too, kinda makes my head fuzzy which normally I don't enjoy all that much but for these things it is fine.
I will be sending you good, positive vibes through cyberland

Clevelandgirl99,
So sweet of you to check on me. Had to reschedule for more than one reason. My sons both decided to require er and hospitalization for breathing issues and dehydration! Rotavirus and asthema, OY. Had it rescheduled for today only to find out that the insurance company declined preauth. I have to appeal again. This happened the first time.
