Rads Done!
Hi,
Had 30 sessions and completed rads Monday! Woo Hoo! I didn't have any severe pain or blistering until the last week and a half and oh mama did it wake me up. More pulling under the arm than anything. Still powered through it and was able to work. I got a foam(mediplex transfer) bandaide, silver ointment and it helped. All ready better.
Does anyone sometimes feel that there so tired they are shaking or that their hearts racing? Kind of anxiety like...doctors don't really coment.
Happy to be done. Chemo and rads complete! Herceptin until Feb 2012.
I am feeling a little strange like whats next? Can I rest now or should I focus on healthy foods and healing.

Trinity it is time to rest and enjoy that you have completed your chemo and rads. Yay!
I also say focus on healthy habits. Exercise, foods, supplements, and keeping up with your appts and any test that need to be continued. Keep enjoying life and do fun things. Find something special each day even if it is for a few min. I find looking at my granddaughters picture brings me much joy.
Congrats and I pray you stay cancer free!

Congrats!! Relax!
I'm sure you have some anxiety, as many of us do. Talk to your doctor about that.
XOXO

It seems you and I did the same treatment... and since you have a year of Herceptin... at the end of that......... THEN you are going to feel ....kinda...lost. IT IS NORMAL! Her2 girls have such a LONGGGGGGGGGGg treatment.... in treatment centers. We go to 4-6 months of chemo.... some type of surgery..... radiation... daily for what seems like forever..lol.... then every three weeks to the infusion rooms we go again for a YEAR more............ WOW......
So, when this year is over............ and you go on to LIVE LIVE LIVE without going to that treatment center you have been at for almost 2 year without fail....... and you feel kinda lost..... I hope you remember my post to you.... saying............. that you can finally REALLY take a breath......... move past this........ see who the new you will be.......... and feel safe in the fact you are really CANCER FREE! Do not waste a minute feeling lost. BUT........ if you do ( I did)... just know that you are 110% normal for feeling this..... and it might take a little while to get out of the routine that you have had for 2 yrs.... NORMAL! If you ever get down.... PM me.... I am happy to chat with you as you pull away from this long treatment.... you will come out the other side.... just like I did.... I am over three years cancer free!!! You will be too!
