That was "500 Miles" by Peter Paul and Mary

Won't you look down upon me, Jesus
You've got to help me make a stand
You've just got to see me through another day
My body's aching and my time is at hand
I won't make it any other way.

(Man, today that song from my childhood sounds like a cancer song *sigh*)

Cecelia by Simon & Garfunkel!  Love that song!

    Woke up

    Fell out of bed

Dragged a comb across my head

A Day in the Life - Beatles

    Stars shining bright above you
    Night breezes seem to whisper
    I love you
Birds singin' in the sycamore tree..

Dream A Little Dream - The Mamas And The Papas

The eastern world, it is exploding
    Violence flarin', bullets loadin'
You're old enough to kill, but not for votin'
You don't believe in war, but what's that gun you're totin'
And even the Jordan River has bodies floatin'

Eve of Destruction - Barry McGuire

    (hi BabyandJohnny, welcome to BCO)

Some folks are born to wave the flag,
Ooh, they're red, white and blue.
And when the band plays "Hail to the Chief",
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord.

    It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no,

It's Fortunate Son by CCR.  OK try this one:

I can't seem to face up to the facts
I'm tense and nervous and I can't relax
I can't sleep 'cause my bed's on fire
Don't touch me I'm a real live wire

    Talking Heads - Psycho Killer

    Here's mine:

I'm a man of my convictions.

Call me wrong, call me right.

But I bring my better angels to every fight.

You may not like where I'm going, but you sure know where I stand

Love me if you can - Toby Keith

    Go 'way from my window,
Leave at your own chosen speed.
I'm not the one you want, babe,
I'm not the one you need.

It Ain't Me Babe - Bob Dylan

    Here's mine:

If you ever get close to a human
Be ready, be ready to get confused
There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic
But yet so, yet so irresistible

    And there's no map
    and a compass
    wouldn't help at all

    They're terribly moody
Then all of a sudden turn happy

[Edit: oops, thought the above was late 80s, but it's early 90s...  sorry!  Great song, though!]

    Human Behaviour by Bjork

    Hey, where did we go
    Days when the rains came?
    Down in the hollow
    Playin' a new game

    Laughin' and a-runnin', hey hey
    Skippin' and a-jumpin'
    In the misty mornin' fog
    With our, our hearts a-thumpin'

Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison

In a cafe or sometimes on a crowded street,

I've been near you, but you never notice me....

My Cherie Amour -- Stevie Wonder

    Your beauty is beyond compare
With flaming locks of auburn hair
With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green
Your smile is like a breath of spring
Your voice is soft like summer rain
And I cannot compete with you

     Jolene - Dolly Parton.

And I dreamed I was dying

Dreamed that my soul rose, unexpectedly

And looking back down at me, smiled reassuringly,

And I dreamed I was flying......

    American Tune - Paul Simon

Hop in my Chrysler, it's as big as a whale and it's about to set sail
I got me a car, like, it seats about 20
So come on and bring your jukebox money

    Love Shack - B52's

(so funny, I just heard that song on the radio and thought it would be great for this game.)

You gotta swing your hips now.
Come on baby, jump up, jump back.
Oh, well, I think you got the knack.

The Locomotion - can't think of the original artist, sorry. I know Kylie Minogue recorded it in late 80s!

Dirty old river, just keep on flowing, flowing into the night,

People so busy, makes me feel dizzy, taxi light shines so bright,

But I don't feel afraid, as long as I gaze on......

It's Waterloo Sunset, by the Kinks - really good 60's English group, who I think are still going now.

How about this one (not 100% certain on all the lyrics, though!) -

Baked beans and soup doesn't really grab me

Today I need something more sub sub sub..stantial

A can of peas, some black-eyed beans, some Nescafe and ice,

Candy bar, a falling star or a reading from Dr Seuss....

Call me when you try to wake her up.

Call me when you try to wake her.

REM - The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite  (one of my favorite bands)

    Here's mine:

Call me up in the middle of the night

Like a firefly without a light

You were there like a slow torch burning

I was a key that could use a little turning

    Runaway Train - Soul Asylum

I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
    Is it raining with you

    Sweet Dreams - The Eurythmics

And go-cart Mozart was checkin' out the weather chart
to see if it was safe outside
And little Early-Burly came by in his curly-wurly
and asked me if I needed a ride.

Blinded By The Light (originally by Bruce Springsteen) made famous by Manfred Mann's Earth Band

    I would climb any mountain

    Sail across the stormy sea

If that's what it takes me, Baby

To show how much you mean to me

(windlass, it is Eurythmics but it's Here Comes the Rain Again)

Suzanne yours is Foreigner - Feels Like the First Time

It was a beautiful day, the sun beat down
I had the radio on, I was drivin'
Trees flew by, me and Del were singin' Little Runaway
    I was flyin'

Tom Petty -  Runnin Down a Dream (for the longest time I thought he was singing "Runnin Down the Drain!")

Tonight's the night we'll make history

    Sure as dogs can fly

Hit me with your best shot - Pat Benatar

I'm going where the sun keeps shining
    Thru' the pouring rain,
Going where the weather suits my clothes,
Backing off of the North East wind,
    Sailing on summer breeze
And skipping over the ocean like a stone.
