WOW, what a feeling we all have.

My 6 year old twins started 1st grade today. I shed may tears putting them on the bus. Thinking to  myself how many years will I have seeing them get on that bus. I know I strong and can beat this but As we all think in the back of our heads made my tears flow.

I had my bxm on Aug 8, I will have my port put in on Sept 8, and start chemo Sept 16. Not sure what kinds 3 diffferent drugs 6 cycles, everyn21 days. then radiation to follow.

I know I have a long road.. But this forum helps me in many many ways each day.. I dont post much.. but I read ALOT.

Good luck with chemo motheroftwins (my younger brothers are twins Smile).  You do have a lot ahead of you but it will be done before you know it....it seems just like yesterday was my dx but no, I'm all done with active tx.  Chemo is tough but is tolerable and having those kids will give you something to work for.  We're here & we get it if you need us.

So inspiring to read your post jennyboog--just what I needed to read tonight when I was thinking about the possibility of not being here to see my kids grow up.  Your post (and the other posts here, too!) reminded me that I need to be grateful for all of these precious moments.  Thank you!

Hi motheroftwins--I'm a mom of twins, too!  Ours are close in age--my boys are are 7.  :-)  Good luck with your chemo...

I was diagnosed when my boys were in kindergarten & started my chemo then, and had my BMX on their first day of 1st grade.  I really didn't think I would be here for the 1st day of 2nd grade.  What a thrill it was to see them start 2nd grade this week--I was even grateful to hear them complain about how much they didn't want to go to school and how mean a mom I was for sending them!   :-)

Thank you, girls, for cheering me up tonight and for reminding me of the importance of taking in each special moment.  You are all an inspiration to me...

Thanks for posting this Jen, my youngest just started kindergarten too this week and I share your feelings of wonder that I feel so much better this year than last, and so happy to be here for them! Right now he is lying on the floor like a sausage, gasping for air, because he is "starving" and lunch isn't ready yet! Smile

    One love, Jackie
