Today's my birthday
Birthday has a new meaning. Well I'm done with the chemo, radiation and have been on Tamoxifen for 3 weeks. So far so good. Does anyone have indigestion issues since chemo/rad/tamoxifen. I seem to burp all the time.

Happy birthday! Hope you have a wonderful day! Congrats on finishing chemo and rads. About indigestion, I have always been a burp machine
but more so after chemo. I just use over-the-counter gas pills when it gets really bad. Good luck with the Tamox. I have been on it for almost two years now and for me the side effects come and go. I had shoulder pains and mega hot flashes in the beginning. The shoulder pains went away quickly but the hot flashes stayed
although not as bad and not as often now. Then I had leg cramps for a while. Minor aches and pains that may be age-related but I blame Tamox anyway. Oh, and frozen shoulder. Hope you don't get any of these SEs but if you do, don't despair because they go away as soon as your body adjusts to Tamox. Take care.

Happy birthday!!!!
I have some nasty stomach issues due to tamoxifen, but it is easily controlled with high doses (80mg) of prilosec. I take 40mg in the morning and 40mg before dinner and it's mostly controlled. Talk to your onco about it. Congrats on completing treatment. Life only gets better and better!

Happy B-day to you!!! I posted a few months ago about indigestion problems I was having. I was chronically burping and having pains in my abs. It started during chemo and the onc said it was GERD & gave me Nexium which didn't work and neither did the other 4 meds they tried but they kept saying it would get better. I went to my PCM and after telling him my symptoms he said it sounded like H. pylori, he did a blood test and it came back positive, after taking 2 antibiotics for two weeks I feel great & have had no more issues. It's a normal bacteria that we all have and when our immune system is suppressed (chemo) it grows rampant. The burping comes from the gas that the bacteria produce and even gives you bad breath. I hope this helps. I was so happy to find an answer & get relief, I didn't think I could keep on tolerating it.
