New here
Hey ladies, I'm new on here. Not so new to cancer.... I'm 36, I was diagnosed last year, been through chemo, bi-lat mastectomy and then rads, now I am on to recon. I just got my tissue expanders 11days ago. Just wanted to ask if this is where most ppl post or do you just post wherever your topic is related to? Thanks! Hoping to meet some new friends that can relate to what I'm going through.

Hi Heather!
I'm kind of new to this area too, I was on a different support site but a bunch of us just moved over here.
I think you can post wherever you want, there are specific topic sections, but I'll probably be posting here mostly for a little bit until I feel more comfortable with things around here.
I can tell you that I used the recon section extensively when I did recon last year and the women there were very nice and informative.
Just wanted to say hi, we can be new-ish together -
Welcome. Congrats on finishing active treatment. The first year out was hard, but it does get easier.

Welcome, Heather! You've come to the right place. I generally stay in this forum and unfortunately for me, the Stage IV forum. I wander around a bit via the active topics section at times.

Hi Heather - just wanted to add another welcome. I am new here myself, having also moved over from another board with a large group. I think I'll find myself most at home in the "young" forum...anyhow, hello!
-
Heather-I am glad to welcome you here as well! I am also pretty new here. I am sticking to this general area for now. I might get brave and stick my head out the door into the other forums in a bit, but for now, trying to meet some people and catch up with friends. There is a group of women posting in this forum, and the title of the thread is YSC ladies moving over from facebook. Please feel free to join us over there! YSC stands for young survival coalition which was another site we were on, then facebook, now here. We came here to add new friends, so please come on over.

Hi Heather!
I was 36 last year at diagnosis, been through surgery, chemo and possibly more surgery later this year to remove the other one as a precaution. Starting to look at the possibility of recon, have an appointment Sept. 12. Welcome!

Hi Heather and welcome. Pretty new myself but have found the forums to be so very helpful and supportive.
Had BMX 5/10/11 with TE placment, port placed 6/6/11 and chemo (ACT x4) started 6/8/11. Done with chemo (yeah!) and having exchange/port removal/ovary removal 9/22/11. Started on Tamoxifen 2 wks ago. Was 39 at time of dx and have 3 small boys all under the age of 10.
Hope you find the answers to any questions you have and the support that we all so need.
