Pain before and during radiation.

I am new to this site and was wondering if there are any others who have had pain that has gotten worse and have been told they think its scar tissue.  I have had a bone scan to make sure it wasn't in the bones and it was negative but shows shading on my rib where I am having pain.  The doctor that read it says its trauma to cartilage or I think thats what he was saying.  Has anyone else had this type of problem?

    Lulu: was this before or after radiation? Rads usually hits part of the ribs and may cause weekness in the bone and tissue in that area... I managed to have costochondritis during rads.

    I had some before but getting worse.  I have a bone scan and a CT now.  The bone scan showed a dark spot in my rib joint but say it is not cancer. They think its trauma.  My doctor had a CT scan done on me now which shows it might be from chronic infections or post surgery trauma.  Least it is not cancer a can deal with the rest.  I have also been draining for the last week on that side too.  There not real concerned yet but I kinda am. I only have 2 more treatments to go so i hope it all gets better when I am done.
