Hi ladies, I just recently got word that I was accepted into a clinical trial for the drug P276-00 added to the chemo regime of gemcitabine and carboplatin. The drug reduces activity of cyclin-dependent kinases which play a role in regulating cell growth. This trial is for triple negative BC patients and is also comparing those with BRCA mutations.

It is phase 1 of the clinical trial and only 3 people have been on it in the US. They had to wait for the first 3 people to go 21 days without major side effects before then can enroll the next 3, one of which will be ME! I'm very excited about the promising results this drug has shown on triple negative rats and pancreatic cancer. I know we are definatley not rats, but as a psychology major I know more than anyone that what works with rats can also work with humans. I was hoping the other 3-6 people either on this trial or waiting to be on the trial were on the forum so we could communicate with each other throughout our treatment.

kita - what a wonderful thing you are doing!  And it is great that you got into the second round!!  I am unfortunately resistant to Carboplatin, otherwise I'd be all over this.  Please keep us updated as to how you are doing.

Hi. My name is lindy. I'm number 20 on this trial at barns. I'm really hoping you have great results on it. I have so many questions on what to expect. Please email me at lindyw82@yahoo.com because I am rarely on this site.
