stephanie-(((hugs))) and rest up. I am sorry you are feeling the effects and I pray you bounce back fast.
melinda-I agree. and bahaha. see I am bad on dates.
thank you guys so SO much for coming over.

Ok, trying to clean up my signature....

Hi ladies, and welcome (or welcome back)!
The Help link - up there in the top right - will give you instructions on using the various features of these boards. Most of it's pretty self-explanatory, but please let us know if you need further help. To reach us, just send a Private Message to Moderators.

I do agree with cori and kim and whoever else said WE make a site, not the site. I 100% believe that. So if all of you tell a friend, ask them to check it out here, we really can make it work.
Anyone know if this place has a mobile app?
-
I'm here! Can you believe it?
This is a big site though. I'm a little concerned we will get lost in the madness.
OK, off to figure out the siggy part.
Kim (and the ultimate sumpeme, Lucy)
-
Are you ladies from YSC, like as in Young Survivors Coalition? I did the Tour de Pink last year, and met a lot of those folks.
-
Melinda-EXACTLY we have to all reach out to our friends!!! There are 500 plus people on ysc. who ARE these people????
I messaged all 12 that were my facebook friends.
so you guys have to have my back and get the other 480!!! this CAN CAN CAN work. I KNOW it can.
and some will stay on fb. that's fine, I have no hard feelings. but fb ysc isn't what I need or want.
Judith-THANK you for the welcome it means a lot.

What's up, bitches?
Not the most active poster in any venue anymore, but even I was re-reading old threads and feeling the loss. Besides, it's Cori's cancerversary, I hear. And she asked for us to come. So, I come for Cori! Hope it takes off fast. That seems to be the key. We aren't a patient group of patients, seems.
-
Ok if kim is here then everyone should be here!!
And yes Marianna we all know each other through that site. That is so awesome you did the tour de pink, i can't imagine it sounds like ton of work! -
Happy Cancerversary Cori!
I'm giving you the tongue for your special day
-
@ MariannaHB, yes... YSC girls needing a new home. I'm a west coaster, so no TdP, but very cool.
After FB, it is going to take some getting used to not being able to "like" someone's post. I did like that.
-
I made it. I will look around and set up my profile. I miss you all.
Hugs

IMHO we need to start a few threads that will draw some of us in. This one was perfect, I started one on LBBC conference, I think that may help.
Kim- I agree about getting lost which is why I think that we can use this particular forum as "base" ykwim? And then spread out if necessary. Kind of like the general boards. -
Hey Ari. I was thinking about you today...how are you and the pups? I need to check out the crazy pet parents and see if you have an update.
-
yes, that's right, lucy belle has been voted miss ultimate supreme.
yeah kim!!
kathryn-thank you and thank you SO much for trying it out.
Kim-it's big but I know it can work. somehow we will work ourselves in here. and remember, we WANT new friends to.lol. that's part of the thing. a closed door club doesn't benefit anyone. We need to meet new people, get new opinions and ideas and perspectives. I want new people to want to meet us. We are going to inhabit the new planet and hopefully merge and peacefully coexist with the natives.
Hi Marianna, yes, we are from ysc. We were kind of message board homeless for awhile and we ended up here. I don't know why we didn't earlier. I check breastcancer.org many times a week bc I find it the best and most easily understood site for new information.

I love this. Remember as new folks come over, click on their name and then make them a favorite person. I think that will help us keep up with each other on here.
-
NO news yet
Seriously need a vacation. I hope we can get moved and settled before LBBC :O) But Whatever happens the puppies are part of our family. So Where we go they go too! Way crazy. I keep reminding myself that this could turn out to be a great move even if it not what we wanted!
-
Ari-always remember that. I sincerely believe that. I have had things in my life that at the time seemed so horrible, like dh's ex friend going pyscho and almost bankrupting us, that now I realize have put us in a better place. not that I would have or could have believe that at the time.

Cori~ I couldn't find anyone on FB, I am sllllooowwww....lol....
-
Hmmm...I still have a sign-in over here. I was only here exclusively to communicate with Angela's friends when she was dying, so it's kind of weird being here. HA! I wonder what my signature says!??
-
Guess it's been awhile. NOW I am an ELEVEN YEAR SURVIVOR! Woot!! I'll make changes to the sig when I have time. Not sure if I am staying., but thought I'd check out what was going on!!

Jaimie... love your new pic. It's both fierce and fabulous.
-
well, bany, I like the siggy, and I'm glad that Angela had you to help keep her friends informed. I know that must have helped her so very much.
Jaimieh, i found people but imho facebook just isn't the right format for this kind of socializing. not to be crass, but there would be a topic about someone dying or being dx stage four, and then in the next facebook sentence would be about something silly followed by something about recon. it just didn't seem right. important stuff would get buried. You couldn't write what would seem like a whole paragraph bc there were space limitations on what shows without expanding the topic. ugh, I hated it. and then kim wrote something and I cracked like an egg. I finally said, yk, this is causing me MORE heartache than it's healing. I will leave with some friends (hopefully) and make new friends (hopefully) rather than just sit here and watch my old friendships wither away.
-
I posted on BC.org all thru out treatment. I like this board. I only moved away from it when I got busy with LIFE!
The board is big but if you find a place to "be" and your friends find it, you'll be happy here!
-
wow....that is a pre-chemo photo of me. photo was taken a few days before my mastectomy.
-
Cori--TODAY is the 25th!!
Happy Cancerversary!
-
Hi guys! Good to see you here. I've been on this site for awhile along with FB, YSC and even Yuku some. (what can I say, I've had a lot of time on my hands.) I think this could be a great solution to the problem (saw the revolution thread but didn't have time to weigh in, then...here you are! You move fast.)
Rebecca W..... -
Happy Cancerversary, Cori!!!
-
Sherri-I am so bad with dates, what can I say. I missed it.lol. Glad you are here.
Rebecca-glad you are here, you should have told us all about it before.
-
lulu here checking in, sadly removing ysc from my favorites bar, but happily signing in here!
