YSC ladies moving over from FB?
I thought I would start a topic here and just give everyone a chance to try out this forum. I like that they have the "active topics" button...
Now I am wondering if we would be allowed to start a new "f~ck cancer" thread over here....
This could work - we do not have to reinvent the wheel and lots of folks can find us here.
At the bottom of a new thread, you can "add to favorite topics without email updates." I think that would help all of us to keep up with the threads that are started by our group. We can alos include our signature so that we can always keep up with stats.

Good question Cori - I guess we will see...

Y- I like these boards. They are managable. We can give it time and see if anyone else joins us. Otherwise, I guess you and I can just meet here and chat. :-)
-
Well, my account is still here...
-
sweet! I am gosh darn serious to. I am going to unlike the facebook thread bc I think that's the ONLY way to get over facebook. use facebook for other stuff, not ysc stuff.

Hey I still have a login on here from when I was first dx'd! I could get into using this.
still very disappointed that YSC new site was such a colossal failure and they have not gotten it together to fix it.
Ooh, wonder what my old sig is, can't wait to hit submit
and for good measure- funck!
-
Hey my peeps!
I'm serious about this too. I'm going to wait to unlike the Fb thread to monitor the current "revolution" thread but after that I'm going cold turkey. It's the only way!
-
So glad to see you ladies here! Will mark this thread as a favorite!
-
Awesome~ Melinda, Rachel and Arlyn!! Glad to see folks trying this. The admins of the YSC/FB page could close it to new posts and put up a link to this page. I do not mean that they should do that immediately but after more folks have had a chance to weigh in on FB. Then set a deadline and cloe it on that date.
-
I just changed my signature, testing it out
-
playing around to see if sig changes
-
yea!! we have some peeps!!
melinda, I am going to unlike the page after I participate in the revolution thread as well. then that's IT. I can't take it any more.
ysc is dead. you know HOW dead? I had dinner with the NEW Ceo. I brought up the board. I told her a solution. She never acted. Believe me, they don't give a rats fucking ass. I believe they are glad we are gone. honestly.

playing around w sig, to see what works
ooo, got it.
up at the top, click on your screen name, then click on edit profile, scroll down and there is a line for signature- up to 250 characters. good place to add age, treatments and the like
and since I clearly cannot spell- FUCK!
-
There is also a "my favorite community members" that you can maintain if you want to keep up with certain folks. It is under "My Home". Or if you pull up a friends bio page, you can add that person to your favorites.
-
holy shit, tomorrow is my cancerversary!!! I didn't know. I am totally shitty with dates. I forget everything, kids bday's, anniversary. I'm not 100% sure how old I am. I didn't realize it until I saw my siggy. OMG I fucking LOVE signatures!!!!!

Well, evidently, I had a log in from when I was diagnosed in 2008. I can't believe "chemo brain" didn't set in to avoid me from signing in... glad to see you all here.
-
Hey everyone! Feeling pretty wasted from this weeks Chemo, but wanted to join the party.

I'm completely un-surprised that they don't want us or miss us. I'm over it now but was super upset before.

Jaimie, HI!
Stephanie, you crack me up. I love how you'll go anywhere for support, you remind me of me lol. -
I'm here. Reluctantly, as bc.org isn't the same as ysc was. Too bad ysc isn't what it used to be.
