Lynniea, mine were done at my simulation.  Just a tiny prick, no big deal. I'll probably have to show them where they are since I have freckles!

Merilee - LOVE the pic today!  Lucky only 4 then boosts!  I go for #18 today - but have to have 28 total then 8 boosts.  You are going to be done way before me now!  (I thought I was catching up to you, but sadly I go until Sept 16th.)  So happy for you!

Great pic Merilee.  You are finishing as I begin (hopefully tomorrow) but I'll refer back to the great images.  Thanks!

Hey SAB did you change your picture?

Merilee again thanks for the inspiration.

MamaV you are half done! You need a mid treatment celebration. Chill the beer, wine, etc.

I am down to only 4 more treatments! My son texted me 2 important messages. When I only had 10 to go, he texted me that I could count them on my fingers. Last Friday he texted me that now I could count the remaining on 1 hand. It floored me. You forget the bigger picture when you are going everyday.

No new SE. The spots of pinkness and rash are the same even though I have had many treatments since developing them. I am quite pleased overall with the minimal SE and the appearance of my breast. I thought it would be alot worse then it really is.For anyone just about to start, I want you to know that it really isn't that bad. Like people say going everyday is the only challenging part.

    Hey where is everyone?

I will have finished half of my treatments on Wednesday.  MamaV, I will finish on September 15, just a day ahead of you.

Not much new to report.  Yes, going everyday is the most challenging, I agree!  Hope everyone is doing well!!

I will be joining this group...I start rads tomorrow.  I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and get some helpful tips as well.  I did not have to have chemo.  Will just be the rads and five years of Arimidex.  Let the treatment begin!

I had #10 today.  I was itching as well. The techs said I was starting to turn pink a little.Seems like where I scratched my breast I have bruised it???   I did not even scratch it very much or hard. She explained that the skin is breaking down and to be very careful not to put to much pressure even when I apply the Natural care gel.  Also apply benedryl cream for the itching and basically leave it alone. No shaving under the arm until Rads are finished. Yuck... I had no idea. Still having trouble sleeping but really tired. So far though it truly is not that bad. At least as much as I feared it would be. LOL Just taking it day by day...

Hi to all the new people. Sorry your here but glad b/c you have found such wonderful people here to help and support you..     lisa

I went today for the "dry run" and final set up. I start treatment tomorrow. The skin nurse gave me ALRA deo. It has aloe Vera gel and oil of cypress in it. It smells ok (not normal deo scent). We'll see how well it works. She also gave me RADIAPLEX gel to apply 2x a day. Anyone heard of/used either of these? I will be having 33 treatments 1/2 with a "bolus" and 1/2 without. Anyone had this?

I am ready to be done already!

I finally got some radiagel on Friday and works wonderfully.  I just wish they had given it to me sooner in my treatment.  I will finish boosts on Wednesday.

I thought I was falling behind ya'all, but I see some gals are starting this week.  If all goes well I will have a dry run tomorrow and start treatment on Wednesday, just one day behind sarahbob and justmejanis and on track with lynniea. I'm so happy for those of you finishing up! Thank you for all the tips!

Merilee for the itching try an OTC pain pill. I think it helps with the inflamation and itchiness.

    Good luck.

Welcome to all you new ladies.   This is a great bunch of ladies on the August thread.

#11 for me this morning.   All is going well.   No SEs, so far....so good.   A bit tired but not anything that is overwhelming.

Celebrated this weekend with my daughters and granddaughter.   That definitely made me smile and forget about all of this for a while.

Hi bb, just noticed your post.  Yep, I tried to upload the picture for the 40-60 pool party the other day but had some tech difficulties.  Decided to use it as my pic instead (I do love my dogs!)

Poop. Storm knocked out power at rads office and messed machine. No rads today. Saw RO - he said my skin looks great! Thinks it'll tan or pink a little but into my 4th week says I'm kicking butt :)

Storms here also. They were 30 minutes late today because they needed to reboot the computer multiple times because of the storms. I was able to get #22 done and was very thankful.

Jodie hey by the end of the week you will be underway and have 2 done.

mamaV - You are a bit ahead of me and it is so encouraging for me to hear how well your skin is doing.   I just completed #12 today.   Hopefully next week, I can say the same thing that my skin is still doing awesome.

Jodie - Ditto what bb226 said.   This process does move along and you get into a routine.   I have all the days marked on my calendar and every day when I get into my office I take GREAT pleasure in making a big red X, crossing off another day.

Had #9 today.  They updated machine, so no treatment last Friday or yesterday (Monday).  Not too happy since it just prolongs things.  "Never underestimate the value in a little retail therapy." I  took my daughter and had a GREAT time.  Laughing   As far as rads go, skin okay so far (cotton bras are helpful) and the only fatigue comes from sleepless nights and a demanding job.

    *Hugs*

Hi mamamia41. Thanks so much for the info. Went today for my 2nd simulation and to talk to the nurse about skin care. She said that she recommends Krystal deodorant more than Toms so I will look for that. I also really appreciate your kind words about all of the SE's that I am reading about! How many treatments have you had?

Just popping in to moan and groan.  RO didn't think the mastitis was well enough to begin rads and so I am postponed AGAIN.  Grrrr.  One more week on massive doses of a new antibiotic, and then we try again next Tuesday.  Hurry up doc, don't you know I'm on the August Rads thread!

I'm so pleased  for all of you who have gotten started.  I hope to follow in your footsteps soon. Dry run today, so that's something!
