Bella, I'm so sorry you had to join us here, but I can tell you that you'll meet many supportive women. I don't know if I could have made it this far without their support. There is a thread for micropapillary BC with only three of us on there. From what I understand, we account for <1% of all BC. If you can't find the thread, I'll copy and paste it for you. Feel free to PM me with any questions. Once you get through Monday, you'll feel better knowing that you can do it. It's all doable. (((HUGS))) Rose

Thanks Rose, I know I can beat this.  Have to stay strong.

I didn't know there was a micropapillary thread, I can't find it though so If you could copy and paste the link that would be great!

Bella, the direct link doesn't work ~ I don't know why, but it works when you copy and paste it! Strange. Let me know if you find it. You can also search under Invasive ductal micropapillary carcinoma in the forums.

    Hi,

I'm another weird case that may help you.  I was a stage 1 in 2006 with a 1 cm ILC tumor in my left breast found by a mammogram.  I had a lumpectomy, SNB, 34 radiation treatments and Tamoxifen.  It came back 4 years to the day in the same breast, same location except it appeared on the breast skin this time.  The tumors were extremely small and I had chemo prior to surgery so they could watch the effect it had.  Well the skin ILC went away immediately after the first chemo.  It was not called IBC, it was ILC ER+, PR-, HER2- just like the first time.  I also had some behind the nipple and it was not pagets, it was also ILC.  After 20 weeks of chemo I anticipated that it was all gone but when I had my BLMX the pathology said the tumors were reduced in size but still evident.  Because it surfaced in the skin, it is a local reccurence staged at III.  The doctor didn't say IIIa, IIIb or IIIc but from what I read on the internet, anything that goes to the skin is IIIb.  I thought the extremely small size of them made it Stage I but no luck with that thought.  I hate being Stage 3 but I'm trying to think positive.  I can't believe how many variations of BC there are.  We need better sources to explain all of this to us.

    Good luck with your treatments,

    Nancy
