Great news about tamoxifen

many of us are advocates of the work of David Servan-Shreiber's Anti-Cancer book.  I still think it's important, when discussing your choices in a public forum, to remind readers of your very, very small tumor, low grade, and node negative, and not Her2Nu - it makes a tremendous difference in determining treatment.  I know you have it in your tag line, and that is important.

Many women would love to have just the change in diet or lifestyle be the determining factor in their own healing, but there are bc's that need more convventional medical attention and treatment.  I suggest the type of cancer you had, is also a factor in your continued good health.

Not my intent to "attack" tamoxifen.  Thought I'd offer additional background that some posters may not be aware of.  (Although most posters here are very knowledgeable.)    

So true member_of_the_club.  Very fortunate that the tumor was slow growing.  They figure it had been growing for 5-7 years so I always felt I could take my time in evaluating the course of treatment.  Since it was nearly grade II and nearly stage 2 and IDC with clear lymph nodes and pre menopausal they wanted me to get a second and third opinion for the course of treatment. So appreciate how unique that was at the time.   I thought everyone always got at least a second opinion.  (Maybe that's changed?) 

Am aware of one oncologist that recommends a no dairy diet to even his Stage IV patients and (of course) the standard of care.
