OK, Sas, does that mean you want someone to provide a dog for a roommate?
Leah
-
Cute Leah----------got the Dog-----------can't go anywhere without her. I love her to much to kennell her. She's a pound puppy, had a bad start. I even take her to my counseling sessions.. She's german wired haired pointer mix. A gun dog that's afraid of loud noises and afraid of the water. Poor baby.
-
SAS - You can come along and bring the dog. I have a pound puppy too and he does not like it when I go away for extended periods of time.

Throwing the word "micro papillary" into the fire and letting it burn, and watching the smoke curl up to the heavens. 2 days ago, I had no idea what that word meant. I read it on this site, then found it at the TOP of my path report and my onc never even mentioned it. It's seriously bad news. BUT, nothing I can do, but keep dancing around the flames!!
-
sas you are more than welcome to come crash and have fun with us.
-
JO JO---throw that calendar into the fire!!!!!!!
Sure wish i could go to texas.I DONT FLY.
That dentist should automatically put the throid shield on you.Im not likin him!!!!!
-
Thank you sherry and Jo, I might be able to make it next year. Hope ya'll have as much fun as the NOTL group.
-
Hmmm... the TX party sounds like fun. I don't fly, but I DO drive and solo road trips are my passion. But alas, have to start classes again soon. Would love to throw work into the fire, but right now it's paying the bills and providing a diversion to keep me out of trouble and off the streets.
-
Tossing in the words : "you are now officially menopausal..we can start you on the other medication now"...I know I am whining and should be grateful for all the options..but right now, I do NOT want to think about any more pills....maybe when I return from vacation / work trip in Florida....until then....I have to try and block it form my thoughts...ARGH!
-
Awwwwwwwwwwww Sandee----I hate that word menopausal too.I went through it 2x.INTO THE FIRE IT GOES IN CAPS........MENOPAUSAL!!!!!!!!!you suk...along with bc.along with all the meds....along with the surgeries....along with all the tx......everything into the fire...burn burn burn!!!!!!!!!!
-
I have been waiting for the official word and am fine wih it...no more pms...no more perimenopausal cramps and sympoms...i am ok with it..just wanted a few months more of a reprieve from it as I feel Excellent and it will be one more pill to mix in to the mix...
-
Sandee - You can whine all you want - that is what we are here for. Since you don't have to make a decision right now - go to Florida - get some business done and have a great time. Don't think about any of this BC crap while you are gone. You can think about it when you get back. We are here for you sister.
-
Hi All
Jo Are you still awake?
I just got a hold of DD laptop trying to connect
-
Sheila - Sorry I missed you - must have gone to bed.
-
Resigned from my PCP today! Talked with patient advocate and am trying to get new PCP who will help COORDINATE my care rather than contributing to FRAGMENTING it by referring me to too many specialists! She is a great evidence-based practitioner who cares very deeply about her patients, but she and I just do not have the same values regarding length vs. quality of life, and I wish her well, but I need to move forward without having to take a xanax every time I go to see her. Maybe I shouldn't toss her into the fire, don't want to hurt her, so maybe just her approach to my care should go in!
-
I'm tossing on to the fire all that worry and anxiety i had pent up over the Oncotype score that put me in a real bad place. Score came back ZERO so to the flames with my wild emotions! I'm working on learning to "float". Kitty
-
Kitty - This is a good place to dump all this crap we have to deal with. The 24 hour rule is a good one to live by in these trying times.
-
Thanks Jo...you are right...leave it alone until my appointment on October 4th..will do a bit of research beforehand so I don't follow as blindly this time
Linda- yeah..having someone advocate for you and listen to you is important. My radiologist and oncologist both listen...so do their nurses..it means a great deal to me as I am certain it does to you as well..to all of us..our bodies and we are a bright lot so ....give us information!
-
Kittygirl-----you are the only one I have ever heard that had a ZERO-------WOW, mines 30, UGH, but I have a twin that is a 15 year survivor of stage 4(1996). Pre onco score or at least it wasn't offered.
Jo thank you so much for offering for me to bring scahatzi---------If you ever want to come to Florida AND bring your baby , I have a fully fenced yard. 100x200 so there is lots of safe running room. The tuff thing with our dear pets is taking or leaving them. I'm in the middle of not being able to leave her with anyone. I may even have to miss ChrissyB's visit b/c of this.
OH, if you have a DH , he can come too.
If I change my mind at the last minute , would that be okay?
-
SAS -Of course it would be alright. I would love to bring my baby and leave DH at home LOL! Can't misbehave when he is around. I do understand about leaving pets with someone else. I have an assistant manager that has two small babies and mine gets along with hers so I was able to leave him with her when DH & I had to go to San Antonio for 4 days.
-
guess there is no one to burn lately huh!!!!!!!
its raining its pouring, lightning and thunder in NJ.
guess there wont be any fire here now.....
while we have nothing to burn lets be thankful for that....
huggggggggs everyone K

Hey Granny ...............we had a hell of a storm here in Pa...............right outside of Philly.......I was at my daughters for dinner, and it really came down...............I heard the "shore area" got it too, really bad......................when I go down this weekend coming I will probably be able to swim on the "deck" and not have to go into the pool...............Kind of glad I didn't go down this weekend...................yea Granny............nothing to burn..........unless I can toss in my next door neighbor who said to me about 1 hour ago............................."Oh with all the hot weather, your new tree that you just put in looks dead"...........................I said "hmmmm, really, thanks for bringing that to my attention...........dumb bitch..........in she goes....................
-
I want to throw in all the rad techs that do mammos in my area. My good friend who is a 16 year survivor had to have a mammo today and when she was finished she was told to call her doctor in a week. I could not believe what I was hearing. The same thing happened when I had my first mammo after surgery.I can remember last year when I got called back for a compression mammo and US - I had to wait until I got the results from my GYN. We went to different hospitals so there is a trend here. In they all go and I hope they burn really slow. Am I pissed right now - you betcha!
-
Jo I am here to help you throw those rad techs in the fire. Wait till granny hears about this, she will take care of them!!
-
Thanks Sherry - I hate to be around when the wrath of granny comes around. You know she is from Brooklyn and can be worse than a tasmanian devil..... If this was winter, we could stay around and warm ourselves by the fire. It did look like it needed some fuel.
-
ok...I would like to toss someone in..maybe the person who wrote the statement "please undress and put this gown on"...uh....no? It is a stress test for the love of god....why would I take my sports bra off if I am running on a treadmill? Are you serious? I said no....last time I said no,burst into tears and explained why I was saying no to the female technician..this time I said "no"...he responded with "uh...well, you have to" and I replied..." no I don't. I didn't last time and I am not this time"...why do they even ask that? put the damn pads under my bra (like he did)....how do they expect you to walk (or run as I did) on a treadmill with your boobs flying? Seriously? breast cancer or no breast cancer...why would they ask a woman to take her bra off and run on a treadmill!?!????!!!! so...in with the person who wrote the damn question, policy or whatever and in with the guy who asked me twice ...once should have been enough when I said NO...he should have had the brains to shut up!
-
I want to toss into the fire, chemo and that bitch of a drug Neulastin. Yes, it did it's job and kept my WBC from hitting 0.2 as they did without it, but it is a horrible horrible drug. Swear it was far worse than any chemo SE I had. Finished my chemo rounds 2 weeks ago and never ever hope to return. Am very grateful for all the drugs did to help me survive, but done with them now.
-
wow!!!!!!!fire is burning......big time.....i have to say i love my techs.one is my niece and the other is her best friend soooo ill leave the techs alone.....BUT.....the drugs and the tech who said take your bra off...well the drugs everyone knows how i feel about them. The tech who told Sandee to take her bra off...HE the male tech..here is what i would do to you my friend......come over here and see what i got for you.its a big knife and guess what IM GONNA MAKE A WOMEN OUTA YOU....tell your mother/wife/girlfriend to go on the treadmill without a bra you dumb shithead!!!!!!!!!!
-
Nothing to burn personally today, so just stopping by to roast marshmallows on the loser who wanted the bra off on the treadmill, and the insensitive rad tech.
Grannyd...you are awesome!! So much fun, what a hoot!! -
Everyone knows us Brooklyn Gals dont fool around. My X husbands wife (pig) is actually afraid to go to Brooklyn because of its reputation......I carried a knife around in my handbag until I retired.ha.even in the old days i went to jury duty and the knife was in my handbag and i passed through security...THOSE WERE THE DAYS...
Send me that tech....i can still use the knife....one swift cut.nice and clean.
