Biopsy of Sternum

Options

I am having a biopsy of my sternum on 8/18 , not a bone marrow biopsy but a biopsy of a suspicious area on my sternum.  Has anybody had one of these and can you tell me what to expect?  I have to do preop the day before, and be there two hours ahead of time, and have someone drive me home so I am pretty sure I will be asleep or at least less concerned about things...lol...appreciate it if someone could relate your experience if you had this done.  Thanks!! (edited for a typo)

Re-edited to add....a biopsy of one's sternum:  I was admitted as for day surgery.   Went from a little pre-op/recovery room to  a CT scan room on the gurney.  Had IV.  They put my arms over my head and restrained them softly "in case you go to sleep".  Gave me drugs to relax me,  but I felt the shot to numb the skin, and I felt the needle into the bone.  Wasn't unbearable pain, I just didn't expect to be awake.  bandaid covers biopsy site.  A little sore and hurts to cough or sneeze.
