25yr old neice just diagnosed

My 25 yr old neice was just diagnosed with IDC, my Mother had Padget's but no other breast cancer in the family, quite frankly, this diagnosis should have been for me or one of my 3 sisters who are all over 50.......I am so scared for her

    Desmondmc,

    Welcome. I am so sorry to read about your niece's diagnosis and can only imagine how shocked and fearful are you and your sisters. Hopefully, you will be a strong support system and advocate for her as she begins this journey.

    There are many women here to help with information and support. This board can be a great resource for you and your niece, if she chooses. Please know you and your niece will be much in my thoughts.

    Have your Niece go on to the young survivor coalition website. It was very helpful for us young survivors. She will be ok. She is young and strong. I am sorry she has to go through this but let her know she is not alone. Take Care!

    God Bless your niece and your family, she will have to have HOPE, for this is what got me through mine. and now 17 yrs cancer free(Praise GOD) idc, stage 2, 0/3 nodes, L mast, chemo rads,(reconstruction body rejected it after a few weeks.  msphil
