Does cancer like acidic, Anyone drink Alkaline Water?

I was told that cancer thrives in an acidic body. Has anyone tried the alkaline diet or drank the Alkaline water?

    Hello!

I like three diets: the anti-fungal, the anti-cancer & the alkaline. I started checking them out upon diagnosis in december, and have found that all three recommend about the same foods. Not a big surprise finding veggies, fruit and some nuts on the recommended list. I will not be satisfied until I understand my body, and what my diet can do to it. I wanted to know WHY green tea is good for us in moderation for example, not only 'I heard it was supposed to be good, so ok.'

I start my day with a big bowl of hot/lukewarm water with pressed lemon. I use sodium bicarbonate in my cooking water, cakes and even fruit juices, highly alkaline. Of course I avoid refined sugar, alcohol, white carbs, too much meat, too much coffee (I drink one espresso per day)..After six months of a very good diet, I feel right away if I have eaten 'bad foods', the digestive system is slowed down, not very nice. I'm very happy with my new, clean (organic), more alkaline, and of course balanced diet; I have more energy, it's comforting healthwise, my body runs like a clockwork and I have a flat belly!! My fat has wandered down to my thighs, by my chemo and suregy inertia, but it is more dangerous to have fat around the belly, so I'm totally ok with that!

    Here's a link I found interesting: http://www.rense.com/1.mpicons/acidalka.htm

I see you are ER+ like me, so be careful with some foods listed like reishi mushrooms, alfalfa..If you're on chemo watch out for grapefruit (apparently it interacts negatively with the products). You can also check out  http://foodforbreastcancer.com/    This lin has a lot of studies and lists of recommended foods: sometimes it's quite to wrap your head around the ER+ thingy, just remember it's a link, not a Bible :-)
