PEI sunset This one is mine.

Lovely mum!
-
Kathleen, you look wonderful!! I can't wait to see you tomorrow. Look at how long your hair is and how skinny your bum is!!!!!
-
spent all day today buying a new car...what takes so long?
-
Deciding on colour?
-
no, all the paperwork and computer inputs, we didn't even finance it..
-
Oh, and no chance for a color as this was the only one in Southern California
they are not making again next year so we decided not to wait, just do it
-
Lisa - What kind did you get?
-
We bought a Buick Lucerne sedan..it is the last year for it and I like the roominess for ourselves and especialy those in the back seat....often times I am riding back there myself, and I am tall..it is also a smooth ride for our trips so after a certain age we go for comfort rather than style..but so far it is very nice and does alot of things that are new to us...
-
Nice. I know what you mean about comfort, and I too am tall. I suspect that a couple more years and my knees will make me give up my current car. I'll be 69 in a couple of weeks and I must admit it is getting a bit difficult to get in and out of my 95 corvette. It is fun though and the cockpit feels like it was designed for me. But I don't like the passenger seat. lol
-
Lisa - love the picture of the hummingbird and congratulations on the new car.
Mum - all the pictures are wonderful. I really like the sunset one.
We just got back from CA and our visit with our DD#1 and the newest grandson, Micah. Please pray for him as he is not gaining weight like he should. We are all really concerned as he is still losing weight when he should be gaining at least an ounce a day. He is down to just 8 lbs now and he started at 8lbs 11ozs. Off to my own bed for some much needed sleep so I can get Daisy Dog in the morning. -
Micah is firmly in my #1 prayer spot until I hear otherwise Amy Jo!!!
Lisa, what colour did you end up with? I guess they were confused because you WEREN'T financing, eh? Didn't know what to do with 'cash'!! hehehehehe
I have a Ford Fusion and LOVE it!!!!! I will buy another one. I go for comfort and less pain getting in and out.
Lisa, what does your new car do that surprises you?
-
Chabba, you and me too, 1942 was a very good year!!
Barbe, I had to get a car with no middle console on the front because
of some leg problems from bc, but most cars come with the shift etc
on the floor in the middle of the front, so this car doesn't...there are
many little buttons to push but I can't find them all in the manual...and
wtf it has a heated steering wheel, like I will ever use that in Southern Cal.
the color is light sand..metallic, but I have a hard time seeing the metallic
what is universal home remote? It has a remote starter, lane departure warning?
side blind zone alert?, it came with a sun roof, something we wouldn't order,.
tire pressure monitor, and a driver information center, who knows what that is..
but the main thing it is so comfy and quiet and smooth riding...we keep our cars
for 12 or more years so they better hold up!!
-
Most beach rescues here involve tourists but today the young buck was a local!
-
Metallic sand sounds beautiful!!!! Heated steering wheel sounds lovely too!! What a great thought!
Chabba, how the heck did the deer get IN there? Fall?
-
barbe - must have climbed the rocks and gotten a leg caught in a crevice between boulders.
-
So My onc says my bone scan show increased arthritis in most joints but no change in the ribcage which is a big relief for me. He just wwants one more xray tomorrow of my cervial spine. He says since I have so much arthritis he wants another bone scan every 6 months. But I still have to go back on the 3month plan for checkups.
Sounds good to me.Now for that medicinal glass of red.
-
Love coming in to find so many adventures.
Adding prayers for Micah-beach-boy. Hoping that they have him sorted right around shortly. I'm glad he had a few ounces to spare initially & pray he gets on the growing train right away.
We are heading out to be 'extras' in a movie being shot on our peninsula.... going to the minerature golf course for further instructions: LOL.
We hosted our friends for the long weekend and they were so delighted. We had a great gallery opening, an original musical in the pines and a jazz concert in the milk barn on the highlights reel.
-
We're making our contribution to the economy, too.
Our washer/dryer stack in a closet gave up the ghost. Probably was invented by Edison himself. To get what we needed to fit the spot available and get it out here to the edge of the world is quite an investment -- but beats the concept of taking our undies down & pounding them on the rocks.
LOL
Off to our filming adventure!!
-
Hallelujah, Mum. Love your news!
-
MUM!!!! Happy dance!!!! Here is a pic of you and Barbe at the NOTL lunch yesterday! Sorry my cellphone cam bites!
-
It is so exciting to see the photos from the get together near Niagra Falls...it was really somthing special for you all and to us by way of BCO...we were all there in spirit anyhow..
We used to get to Niagra Falls alot, my DH is from Rochester NY and had family in Picton Ontario so we would all meet at the falls for family get togethers. His brother is a retired professor at Guelph University and still lives there.

-
Check this out, Lisa. I did the US side then the Canadian side the same day. WoW!
Canadian
-
-
You rock. I just had a cellphone cam. WooHoo.
-
That last trip we didn't get over the bridge...not enough time and a plane to catch....
it sure has changed since the 1940s and 1950s...the Canadian side had more park space then...and the best view is from Canada...
-
I think another part of it which is so awesome are the sounds...
-
LOVE LOVE LOVE the pic of Barbe & Mum!
