i have nerofibroidmatasis desease ...i need some advise or input

ive had 2 surgerys on my right breast already and last year i had biopsys on it.which were much painful. now i went this year to get my mamogram and i now have calsifications in both breast which may or maynot be precancer cells.they say this will be a yearly thing.biopsys and surgeries..posibly.. what i need advise on is whether i should get the biopsys in a couple weeks or should i wait for 6 months and have mamograms again to check..what do you think i should do...what would u do..COSMOANGEL

    My husband has neurofibromatosis too, he grows tumours all over his body!! Presently he has 3 in his brain and is being checked out for one on his kidney. Not a lot of fun, but not too scary after the first couple of tumours are found. He had a huge one removed from his spine. All is good.

    As for the breast, it can grow cysts hormonally, that fluctuate with your period. Neurofibromatosis normally grows along nerves, I don't know if there is enough on the breast to count. Have you googled neuro....and breast cancer?

    Calcifications are the aligning of cells to become cancerous. Some calcifications can go on for years without turning into cancer. Do you want to go through this every 3-6 months? Cancer takes years to grow, so another couple of months isn't deadly at this point, unless it is causing you too much stress.

    Cosmo, do you mean that you have fibrocystic breasts? If so, that is a benign condition, but adds a lot of stress as you could end up with multiple biopsies and tests.
