Good News
Hi Guys,
Surgery went well. I now have 2 breasts. I am so happy...I wasn't excited about having surgery and really didn't care about having recon but looking at myself NOW with 2 breasts I am SO HAPPY.. I feel more like the old me!
He found nothing on the cancer site and he said my real breast was just clean breast tissue.
I actually did a bit of yoga and am heading to the mall later to buy some tops.
The doctor came in and said I looked great. He seemed surprised at how up and about I was and he said my breasts look perfect.
Overall this was a really great experience. There is nothing like excellent doctors! I feel happy, full of energy and ready to move onward and upward!
AND to top it off the Ronald McDonald house called and they have 3 familes in need of computers. This is will be KiliansKids.com first donation! I will be brining it over next week. SOOOOO HAPPY!

Awesome, reconstruction really did make me feel more whole too - it helps to look more normal - not quite such a reminder as when you look at your concave chest - not for everyone I appreciate but I was 45 when I got dx'ed and had just gotten engaged - and I am a little vain - I hate to admit it. I'm thrilled for you - Ellie

I am not surprised that your doctor made a comment about your energy. First of all, there is no keeping you down, and those of us who are exercisers usually are exercisers even after surgery.
My surgeon said the same thing about me.
Great news on the Kilian's Kids too. Just so important, and really glad you get fill this need.

Jen, that is AWESOME news! We are so thrilled for you, girlfriend. Indeed, God is good all the time (that's my favorite saying, Linda).
BTW, a cute story is that when my boys first saw my chest after surgery, they wanted to know what happened to my "buttons". Laugh out loud!

lol that is funny...When I had my breast removed the first time my daughter asked where did they put it? I said the garbage. She said well what if someone finds it just stting in the garbage. lol

WAHOO! So glad to hear you are doing great. And glad you can shut that door of stress behind you!!!! Yoga already??? You rock! I just hit the gym yesterday and it really does feel great.

I'm soooo happy for you!! When I got my uni reconstructed, it was like going shopping in my own closet - so many clothes I hadn't been able to wear the last year and a half, that I could again. Congrats on the first donations, too - very cool.
