Beautiful baby skin!!! Look at that intense "I'm sucking on this to ignore the fact I'm not in Grandma's arms" look going on....hehehehehehe

Lassie, your pic looks like a painting! EXCEPT, an artist wouldn't have a pine tree growing out of the building on the horizon!!! hehehehe

Buggers, I did/do have an infection. Monday night, my fever rose to 103 F. I had called the BS when it was about 99. He told me to double up on the pain meds, and take 200 mg of Motrin. If I didn't get any better over the next 2 hrs, to go to the emergency room. I was vomiting and in a lot of pain too. I was so dizzy, I couldn't go the bathroom with out assistance. I called BS and PS Tuesday morning. PS told me to get to his office as soon as I could, By this time, fever was down to 99 again, but I was still so weak and nauseous. The chills had gone away though. The PS that saw me was not my PS, but his partner. The right side had some redness and swelling and he prescribed a stronger antibiotic for next 10 days, and still to taked the original. He told me to go immediately to the ER if my fever went above 100 again. I cancelled the OB/GYN appt and rescheduled that for OCTOtherwise, I have an appt tomorrow morning. Only ONE drain was low enough to come out (not on the side with the infection), so the removed it. That is the right side. The left side is the one that has the infection. This morning, I have a low-grade fever of 99.7 and the drainage has changed from a clear yellow to a cloudy orange. I have definite swelling and pain it the left breast and underarm area. It looks like I have a small breast bump and they haven't put any saline in the expancer yet! Oh, and the 2 drains on the left have increased about 30% in output, One is up tp 170 and the other is 85 now. The other drain on the right side is getting lower, but still not below 30. So it doesn't look like I will have anymore drains removed for a while. Still 3 more. It have been 3 weeks now and I wish I could lose them!
I am taking your advise and resting as much as I can.
Amy Jo and Valdean, congrats on the grand babies! They are awesome!
Lassie and Lisa, great "Castle" photos!
Isabella, glad to see you back.
3jays, I cannot believe what you have had to deal with. You are always in my prayers.
Well it is back to the couch to resume my potato position!

Phyllis, so sorry you have this infection. You'll be in my thoughts--that can be pretty painful also. I give you permission to do absolutely nothing. Hope this new antibiotic helps. Lots of fluids too.
Thanks to all who posted such beautiful pictures. They are a good way to start the day!

If it is cellulitis, don't fool around with it, my surgeon threw me in the hosp. for IV antibiotics..she said you have to catch it early

Well, it posted, but needs to be resized. I guess I'm just not meant to do this!
Phyllis, I'm sorry about the infection and hope you'll be doing better very soon. You're certainly in my thoughts and prayers. Is anyone still with you besides your daughters?
3jays, you're always on the prayer list too, and I hope someone will be able to do something so you can go to Mecca. You've been counting on that for so long and you deserve it so much.
AmyJo, I'll say again that Micah is absolutely a beautiful child!
Hey to everybody--looks like a storm is going to come so I'd better close down the computer!

QCA, you're doing great and much better than me!. You'll get the hang of pix - as it is, the fun shone through just fine.
Phyllis, I hope you're on the mend. 3jays, you too!
Amyjo, Micah is just what QCA said - absolutely a beautiful child. You must be just over the moon.
Isabella, how is your mouth healing? And how's your back? Has your adrenaline receded yet from your close call? Some drivers are real jerks, and go on their way unconscious & unconcerned.
Made more pickles today; it looks like that's what everybody will get for Christmas.
I just learned my niece's boyfriend's mother hands out her gift-want-list like she was one of the "Real Housewives of..." - I was shocked to hear that niece was expected to buy this woman an expensive kitchen gadget-appliance for her birthday. Niece & boyfriend struggle to pay rent and bills as is, and the mom knows this .... funny how some folks are...
Tomorrow we may take the "new" little boat (we still have to name her) - out to the lake for the afternoon. He's just built a better trailer for it, and has to go to Dept Motor Vehicles to get the trailer registered, and then he is so anxious to get out on the water.... So, although I'm a bit reluctant - so much of what he considers fun involves what I consider work.... It'll probably end up being wonderful, and a good trial run before Neph2 comes home for a couple weeks before shipping out. Then, we're planning a big family picnic, boat, floating stuff, maybe a potato cannon.... something fun at the lake, mid-week, during the next couple weeks. So I might as well put on my happy face and get with the program.
My best to Everyone.
ETA, as ever, I loved the pictures. They are wonderful.

A boat sounds like fun LC..

I got a double-hit of grands yesterday!! My DD is returning to work soon, so yesterday was a test-run of the sitter. I got to see Zach (11 mos) before he went, and then when we picked him up. He was joyous!! Still very happy, just hadn't slept yet. He reached for DD and then when in her arms, TWICE reached for ME!!! It made my heart sing!!!!
Then, while DD was getting her hair done at her own house, my DS dropped in with his wife and baby in tow. I held George (5 mos), who resists sleeping so much and next thing you know he was nestled under my chin fast asleep!!! Surprised everyone, probably George himself!!

-
Oh that's so funny--I didn't even notice at first!! It's like a pill bottle in the garden!
-
Lisa, on my screen the ad isn't on top, so I can really enjoy the light and color of the rose. Maybe others are the same.
-
Lisa, I don't see the ad either. It's a beautiful photo.
