Awww- so sweet Sheila.  You know we would be worried if we didn't hear from you. ♥

It will be interesting to see if your hair thickens up now that you're off Femara. I wonder if drug-induced hair loss is reversible when you stop the medication - especially if you were on it for several yrs.  I'm wondering if Tamox has anything to do with my hair falling out.  I still have 3+ yrs to go.

Before chemo I always had hairs falling out throughout the course of the day and it used to bug the crap out of me.  Tickling my arm - and invariably I would get a hair down the front of my shirt that would tickle.  Now there's no nice way to reach down your shirt to pull the hair out of your bra...  I do it anyway because it really bugs me.  I have no class - lol.

Well, I googled hair loss and saw that a cause could be hypothyroid.  Maybe I'll just take some iodine and see if I feel better.  My doctor doesn't want to help me (I need a new one) she's always rushing out of the office to the next patient and I don't get my concerns addressed - and I've got a lot of them - lol.  Probably all due to one thing being wrong that doctors don't want to be bothered trying to figure out.  Grumble....grumble....

chris...Hair issue started around March 2010 exactly 4 years after Femara.

I'm loosing it in the front. My forhead is getting wider. Yell

Yell is right!    Ugh - the crap we have to go through...

Sweating now after ironing.  I hate this iron.  I keep buying Rowenta irons because they produce a lot of steam - but the last few I've bought have sputtered and gurgled and dripped and spit water on the clothes.  I think it goes too long before drawing more power to get back up to temperature and then it's not hot enough to produce steam so it drips and spits.  And the self clean function doesn't work well enough- the thing gets gunked up with crap from the water and it doesn't get cleaned out enough.  Why can't I buy anything that works right?  Nothing but complaints from me tonight...  sorry Embarassed

(((((((Raj))))))) - I wish the doctors could tell us more.  I think as you get farther out from diagnosis and treatment, they start seeing you less frequently - going back to annual mammograms.  They don't really do any more than that.  I know it is frustrating wondering if it will come back and having no tests to find out.

Hope the weather calms down and you don't have any flooding!   ♥

Sheila and chrisct - The week after I started tamoxifen I went in for a haircut.  My hairdresser  was the one to warn me about hair loss and nail problems.  She told me that her tami clients had great results from taking Biotin so I got some on the way home and have used it daily -- ten months now.  I have very little hair loss, she tells me (and I think she is right from my own observation) no more than before BS.

Thanks for the heads up, Chabba.  I was taking Biotin for a while, but I couldn't tell if it was doing anything.  It wasn't helping my nails and I couldn't tell if it was helping my hair.  I did start taking it again the other day - just in case it will help.  Unfortunately, it will be a while before I can tell if it is helping at all.  2 yrs and now I feel like I'm starting all over again...  I hope I don't end up with bald spots. I hope I don't have to break out my old do-rag.  This sucks.

Hey Sandy - you heading off to the beach today, I hope?  DD has a follow-up with the surgeon today.  Hopefully she's healing well.  We're supposed to go camping - I hope she doesn't end up with a problem while we're gone.  She didn't start the antibiotic the day of surgery because of the vomiting.  And I hope she actually took it when she said she did.  She's so irresponsible.  She had other pills she was supposed to take - one of them late because of the vomiting.   I told her to take them.  She didn't.  I found them in the living room.  I called her into the room and held them up. She said - "You found them!"  I'm like - "I told you to take these last night!"  Not only didn't she take them, she didn't know where they were and didn't tell me!  So ridiculously irresponsible.  And she is going to become an adult next year?!   Yeah, she's ready for adulthood.  And just think - kids her age were living on their own, married, with several children by this age 100 years ago.

This is a special weekend at our house, partly because August 6 is on a Saturday again this year as it was in 1966.  Anniversaries are always special but particularly so, it seems, when they fall on the same day of the week as the original event.  I have to say it sure dosen't seem possible we have been married 45 years.

I know what you meant.  A lot of views!

Had to drop my Volvo off for new sway bars last night. DH went to take the truck to meet me there. Got in truck and smelt gas.  I smelled it a few days ago when I moved it from one end of the driveway to the other.  No one uses this truck.  2002 bought it new and it has under 30K miles on it. DH popped the hood to see why we smelt gas.  A mouse chewed through the fuel line and carborator.  Dropped truck off today too.  Had no car.  Picked car up...350.  Got call from truck people, they have to order pparts.  850!!!  OUCH!!!  I want to kill that stupid mouse!!  Wont get truck back til Wed! Thats my bitch for today....

Yes, we do that to our boat and motorcycle over the winter.  I never had this problem with the truck.  We told the guy at the Volvo dealer and he told us to spray under the hood with pepper spray.  Thanks for looking!

I feel your pain, Linda - cars are expensive - it's always something.  Stupid mouse!  You need a cat.  Isn't your Volvo relatively new or am I remembering wrong...  2 of our cars, the 11 yr old one and the almost 8 yr old one, have flaky a/c.  I'm afraid to bring them to have them fixed - I'm afraid it's going to cost a lot!

I saw the pictures and am NOT watching the video.  yuck!

My volvo is a 2003 and my ram truck is 2002, harley 2005 and boat 2006.  Nothing is new anymore!  Still lots of life in them since I live in the country and dont go very far from home.

Awesome chabba, I'm coming up on 41.  I was 19 when I got married.  Don't encourage anyone to do that.

The last new car we bought was a LeCar, LOL that was about 15 yrs ago.

No hair loss here.  I wish there was a lot more weight loss.

I don't know what happened to that picture, it was winnie the pooh hugging all his friends. Laughing

During the winter we had mice in the attic so I put tons of decon up there.  When I took my napsack down it was full of decon.  The little shits were having fun storing it in my napsack.
