Any one out there done this? I have seen fliers recently advertising these classes - 3x a week for 30mins each. I am sure they started in the US - so wondered if anyone out there goes to these and, if so, have you lost any weight?!  I am very overweight/obese at 212 pounds and also have quite a bit of LE in my right arm. I have  tried Weight Watchers this year and have lost about 7 pounds, but can't stick to it as I get very dizzy as a side effect from my anti-deps.  Any advice appreciated!

    Hi Sarah,

I used to go to Curves. The machines work on resistance. If you want a rigorous workout you work the machine faster and harder...if you aren't up to a rigorous workout you work the machine a bit slower and not as forceful. If you go into one of the Curves workout place the people who are working there will be more than happy ot let you to try out the machines. I didn't lose alot of weight, but I wasn't on any kind of restrictive diet at the time. What I found with the workout was that it got me toned and kept me toned. I noticed about 6 months after I stopped going some cellulite on my thighs and my arms developed some flab action. The only negative I could say about it was it got boring after awhile. Take a friend and you can converse through the workout and maybe that will help it from getting boring for you.

    What Heather said...

Good for toning and is a "brainless" workout... no weights to set, etc. and the cardio stations in between sets.

Go while you can...our Curves closed a few months back.
