I haven't been here in a while. So I was trying to read all the conversations I've missed, but it was taking me too long, so I jumped to the last page to say hello, then I will continue to catch up. :-)
The photos here are truly amazing! wow!I hope you all are doing well. ((hugs))
This is the boundry waters between MN and Candada. Not really a true "beach" I'm stretching it a bit. (I also tweaked it in Photoshop).
Cheers!

Hi there girls, long time since I have been to the beach. I had a blow on July 16 with a Dx of bone mets. So I think I will just sit on the beach and gather my thoughts if you all don't mind. Could someone find me a nice chair?
-
Mary-Lou, my skills at shopping/posting chairs, attire, food, etc. on this thread is slim to none, but I just want to offer my skills at head rubs. Sorry about the dx; I hope a good plan falls into place for you.
-
I have God , so I still have hope......
Thanks Eph
-
Mary-Lou - here is a chair just for you.
-
Mary Lou. I am so glad that you've found your way back here to the beach, where you can rest among your friends who love you and your new friends who will come to love you.
Welcome home.
What can we possibly say to you for your new diagnosis? What do you need to hear? We are here for you. The views are always awesome. The friendships real. The support is genuine.
I'm so glad you have a chair with a canopy. Just right.
Now relax.

Well beachie girls.
I've done it!
I've been blessed beyond all amazement! I have actually received a NATIONAL award for my newest picture book, The one that it took me 5 years to create the quilts as illustrations. The one where people have posted flags, and fireworks to help me along.
This afternoon I learned that my book received the National Indie Excellence Book Award in the category of Children's Book with Audio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I get shiny stickers to add to the cover!!!!!!!!!
This is for my book "Red, White and Blue" which is based on the song I wrote for children right after 9-11. The timing of the award is PERFECT in that it may bring a little light to the project -- just in time for the 10th anniversary commenoration.
I'm too tired for a party tonight. How about one this weekend?
Here's the link to my blog post: http://networkedblogs.com/ldDZr
If anyone is tech-savvy enough to go and leave a 'comment' at the end of the post -- that really helps my blogging statistics, which I'm working at so hard this summer......
Thanks for all of your support, encouragement, kicks-in-the-fanny (you know who you are).
This is evidence that dreams really do come true!
-
-
{{{Mary-Lou}}} I am offering hugs and prayers for you.
Faith, how wonderful! You did it! But we always knew you would!
-
Congrats Faith!!!! That' BETTER than a world tour, because that sticker will go where you don't!!! It will follow your book around the world and through so many lives....wouldn't it be neat to write a book about where that sticker has been and the lives it has touched???? Congrats again!!!!
Mary Lou this is a safe place to let down the smiles and good cheer and just be in a funk. Let us amuse you with pics and wits to try to distract you from some pretty horrid news! {{{{{{{{{{{{ Mary Lou }}}}}}}}}}

I'm very proud of you Faith.♥

way to go Faith
