Caerus.............don't leave.................I have no idea what all this crap is about, but don't give in to whatever creeps are causing the trouble................we want you to stay, and to hell with whoever is causing the trouble...............pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease don't go.
. by the way what the hell is this all about anyway..................I must have missed something previous to Blue having the problem.................. -
CS, I was mentioned by my username in a comment on that review site. It really upset me, but Alpal is right, there is nothing we or the Mods here can do about it. Hopefully, any reasonable human being reading those comments would be horrified by someone naming usernames of participants of a breast cancer support site, and understand that such a person is at least as much of a bully as anyone she is complaining about.
Here are the Terms of Use of that site: http://greatnonprofits.org/terms/
It seems to say that defaming is wrong, but the site may or may not do anything about it.
-
Thanks hillck,
I've asked the mods to delete my account - this is the only thread I see often, and my negativity is NOT going to help kee it going -
Really the moderators have F'ing CAVED to false charges - they know it, we know it, and I'm sick of trying to help other women with BC and getting accused of "bullying" for it.
Good luck,..don't know how long after a pm it takes to delete - but that's in the works...
all best to you,
-
CS~
You are one of the voices of reason. Please stay.
-
CS, darn it! I loved reading your posts. That's a pm I tried to send you.
-
Sunflowers .. please don't delete your account. I will really miss you .. you're my friend!

CS - don't you dare go!!!
I finally received a reply to my complaint to the review site. I had complained that one of the moderators was mentioned by name - took me half an hour to find it, but I was able to reply and point them to the review by 'Rose' where Judith's name was mentioned.
I am offended that we are mentioned by name - that should be my next complaint - in fact anyone of us who has been mentioned there should complain and see if they do anything.
Sue
-
Sue, I complained on July 25th but have had no response...
-
thanks, you all are very kind - but I am just too upset about the way the Moderators are reacting the the constant acusations of "bullying" - and doing NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING to defend the good women on this thread, except to take it off the Active List.
I got a lot from BC.org, will miss friendships but it's come to the point where except for the companionship of the women on this thread, I GIVE a lot more to BC.org than I get. will NOT miss the HYPOCRISY of the MOderators- expect Greta ( nurse-ann, or Patzee or whoever they are) will take this word for word and post as a review. I don't care - obviously the Moderators don't care about the women posting here being contantly accused of "bullying." Or having our screen names made public. Or being called "a gang." That's not acceptable to me. If I give something to an organization, I expect RESPECT and kindness in return.
Good luck to all - you'll need it!

Since BCO "owns" anything we post here, isn't verbatim quoting on another site without BCO's permission a violation of copyright law? Not that anyone around here is concerned about copyright law.
I do have to wonder at this point, if everyone stops posting there, would those who are being vindictive over there tire of that game? BCO obviously hasn't welcomed any of us trying to defend them (although I suspect they welcome positive reviews without further comment) on that site.
Edited to fix spelling -- Copywriters need to know copyright law. Right?
-
Hey girls - now they mention a mod by her full name - that is going way over the top and could lead to some sort of action - I've let the mods know BTW.
Sue

"I do have to wonder at this point, if noone goes to greatnonprofits or everyone stops posting there, would those who are being vindictive over there tire of that game?"
Revkat, good point.
-
I'm glad I don't have the moderators' job. I can't imagine what they're going through during all of this. Also we don't know what contact they have tried to make with the review site.
-
Kat .. I think you're onto something. If we just leave that site alone and don't respond to the nasty stuff, I believe the person posting that stuff will just get tired and wonder off somewhere. She needs an audience and if we don't give her one, maybe things will stop. I've defended BCO on many comments on that site .. and I'm tired of doing it too. Just going to let it go.

But I was enjoying meeting all of the new Gretas

All that nonsense about bullying (or as it is sometimes called, bulling) is primarily on the review site now, not so much here. Presumably that means that the perpetrator is someone banned from this site. To me, that means the moderators here are doing their job.
Someone out there is seriously disturbed and anything anyone here says or does will make no difference to that person other than to agitate her further. I suggest staying away from that site. All the appropriate interventions have been made. The moderators there (if any) have some work to do. Maybe they should consult the moderators here!
If BCO's ratings go down because ot it, that is a shame, but something that needs to be dealt with at levels higher than participants.
Stay CS - you are valued here!
edited to add - wow - several posts saying the same thing while I was composing this.
-
I thought this a place to come for comfort, and support from some wonderful women..........you all gave me information, courage, advice, laughs, and a reason to keep going.........had it not been for you ladies I would nver have started that friggin pill......................I am appauled that this is what has happened..................I sang the praises of this website just last night to a cancer survivor who said to me...........................where did you get all your knowledge..................CS please don't let those freaks push you out...................you belong here...........we need you...................we're bigger then they are , and we can handle whatever they have to put out.............your a fighter.........don't go..................
-
ducky ... you will be happy to know that my onc told me when I started Femara that the odds were that I would react to it the same way I had reacted to menopause. In my case ... like yours ... that was not at all. She said some women's bodies are just more (or less) sensitive to lowered estrogen than others. And she was right ... I had no problem with the Femara for 4 years. At that point I did start having some joint issues. But ... there is hope that you will be OK with it. Hope so!!
Those reviews have devolved into a big friggin joke. It's all gone soooo far over the top ... jumping up and down and shouting everybody else down with screaming accusations. Yeeesh
Sunflowers (((hugs))) I understand your anger but I still wish you would stick around. We loves you here!
Edited to add ... yes, what they all said while I was typing. We really don't want to give bad behavior any more attention than necessary.
-
White Rabbit................Thanks for the news..........I often wondered myself if me never having issues with the change would help me now..............how nice that would be...............I'm glad you did so well...................hugs

((((CS))))

OK, I can proudly state that I am having Trader Joe's organic foursome (vegetables) along with potatoes with haricots verts and mushrooms. Delish!
The BCO B&G is open, though saddened at CS's departure.
I PM'd the mods too about the full name. I am mentioned there more times that I can count, but I have too little respect for that web site and the name mentioners to even care. Sad, really.
-
Wow .. we're almost at 500 pages! Amazing we've lasted this long ..

I'm so glad we're still here.
love you ladies,
Bren
-
Hey, let's celebrate!
And yes, anyone who has any objections is free to state them on the boards at Time's Square, for all I give a F...F...
We were deleted twice, and 500 pages later, we're still here.
Let's have a toast, everyone. This has been a fabulous online home for me. It has been a pleasure and may we continue for another 500!
I will say it again, hurrah for our perseverence and friendship through 500 pages.
And if anyone out there didn't hear me, I'd be happy to repeat. :-)
These 500 pages represent friendship, support and mutual respect.
-
Thanks Athena .. these 500 pages mean the world to me. Y'all are my family.
hugs,
Bren

I've just had an interesting exchange of pms with the Moderators. I am reconsidering, but on the condition that RESPECT is shown to Blue, and the other women who regularly post on this thread. It is capitulation to "bullying" to allow the good women who regularly post here to be defamed because some women are "disturbed", bitter, drank too much of their own urine, or any other reason, are jealous of the support and camaraderie ( calling it a "gang"), or any other attempted justification for attacks on Blue, me, or any one else doing the best she can to make it, day to day, living with breast cancer. It is not acceptable.
I am happy to use the ignore button. BUT, I will not be called a "bully" because I chose to do that.
Thanks for your kinds words. There is, for me, the proverbial line, I won't cross. And allowing false accusations to go unanswered is one of those very clear lines for me.
-
1Athena1................Next to my family I could have never made it without my "ladies" especially this thread..................Can I keep sending posts till we reach 500.................do I get a prize for being the 1st post of page 500.....................
Come back soon CS.
-
I'm here - laughing - at the poster who gets the thread to 500 getting a "toster oven" - like opening a new account at a bank, remember those days?
-
Hi, everyone. Been skimming through pages and pages of discussion. I'm not even tempted to visit the review site (I posted a positive review there a few days ago and there's no need to get bogged down in that BS there). Tomorrow is Robert's rescheduled nut job, so I'm getting stuff preppred for that. Tomorrow and Wednesday I HAVE to make myself stay away from here, because I'm taking the GRE on Thursday morning and I have to study more than I have been. (I turn on my computer to study and make a beeline for BCO and this thread...hours later, nothing has been done.) I'm really ready for a change in my life, and if I can pass the GRE (with good scores), I can go back for my PhD. Hugs and positive vibes (any helpful testtaking hints) are welcome.
