hillck - I hope your MUGA scan shows everything to be normal.

    Welcome DUCKY!

Mods: I understand where you are coming from but it feels as though the people here are being unfairly penalized for what is going on elsewhere.

Cindy .. I would mention it to your onc just as part of the discussion about your health and migraine history.  I think he should be aware of all your health concerns.  Maybe Tamoxifen has something to do with it.  It's certainly a very powerful medication.  How are your migraines since you've been taking the Tamoxifen .. more or less?

    hugs,

    Bren

PS .. Hope all went well with the Muga scan.

I checked the review site and got the same message.  Weird.

EDITED:  Something must be weird with my computer .. because I tried it again and I did get the review page.  I think I counted about 10 new reviews for August 1st.  Of course there were a few Greta's.

*$&%&^#$*$**$  - That is how I feel about having to check into the hospital at freaking 5:30 am.

The sun isn't even up by then.

I am home trying to do laundry, clean MY house, etc. before tomorrow.

Cindy .. wonder if your migraines are tied to your estrogen levels.  I don't think mine are, as I don't have any estrogen.  I think mine may start off as stress headaches or because of not eating.

I hope your doc won't want more tests.  Maybe he'll have some insight about estrogen and migraines.  I used to get terrible headaches when I would have a period.  A lot less now, since I had the hysterectomy.

A younger friend of mine had amazing success with accupuncture for her insomnia and PMS issues. I think it's the little chinese pills, myself. i cannot sleep without pharmaceuticals. When I get back from my Peru trip I'm going to give it a try.

I get migraines, too, but they've been way fewer since I had my ovaries removed. Migraines were one reason I was on low-dose OCPs for so long--by cycling through and not having periods, I rarely had a migraine. Fortunately, Imitrex works well for me.

I used to use Valerian to sleep. It worked very well, but the smell was horrible. I took it for some time until one time I forgot to put a check in an envelope when I mailed the bills. I didn't know if it was Valerian or stress, but I stopped the valerian.

Had an estrogen level done, and thought that would tell me something about what was left.......took it to the MO, and she said "all this tells you is that your menopausal..............I thought........are you frigging kidding me.............there has to be more to it then that.............well anyway I did it, and mine was "12" whatever the hell that means........

I have been post menapausal for 20 years............It happened at 56, and I'm now 76...........I went from a period.......to nothing....overnight............never had hot flashes, and never took hormone replacement therapy...........no mood swings, nothing...............gonna take the results to my GYN when I go in a couple weeks.

I copied this link .. there was quite a bit of info on the net about the link between fluctuating hormones and migraines.

    http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/headaches/a/migranes1.htm

Why do so many more women than men suffer from migraine headaches? While it is improbable that sex hormones can completely explain the difference, there is significant evidence that there may be a connection between migraines and fluctuations in estrogen levels in women. The problem appears to be the response of the central nervous system to normal hormonal fluctuations. Women who suffer from migraines should understand that hormonal fluctuations are normal.

Women often experience their first migraine headache during their teen years, most occurring with the onset of menstruation. The highest incidence of migraine occurs in women around the age of 40. Fortunately, for most women, aging and menopause often reduces the frequency of migraines.

all the reviews & comments are still there.  And I am fed up with the accusations of "bullying" - and no defense from Breast Cancer.org about SCREEN NAMES of women posting on their site being attacked - and not feeling SAFE here.

I'm just on the edge of having my account deleted.  THAT fed up!  The Hate Site is obviously thrilled that so much of their provacation has caused trouble at BC.org.  Seems the Moderators are most comfortable on this board in DENIAL, not a river in Egypt.

Sunflowers .. please don't let that site upset you.  I know it's hard not to read there, but MTF syndrome can cause a lot of stress.  Especially when you are upset or your friends are being targeted.

Can you have a nice cup of tea and try to catch your breath.

    love you buddy,

I haven't been there since they really started attacking - but am VERY concerned that  BC.org has done NOTHING regarding the reposting of posts from this site INCLUDING the screen names of individuals, and the stupid accusations of "bullying."  Since when is disagreeing with someone, "bullying."   Since when is using the IGNORE button "bullying." Just because a now banned person posted on this thread accusing everyone of "bullying" her, doesn't make it true, or the responsibility of the women who regularly post on this thread. For all the comments to defend BC.org on the website, what has BC.org done to protect the women who post here?

I think the moderators have done excellently.. the other site does not threaten 'us' directly..  There are probably communications that have been made.  Why assume otherwise.

ignore the trolls as they say.. maybe they'll just go away.  at least the cyberbully sockpuppets (i absolutely hate that in a human) are not so prevalent and blasting away about whatever or whoever their favorite target is.  I still have a few people on ignore.. I wish they'd be deleted, but hay.. I'll go with the newer normal.

well, Apple, were any of your posts quoted directly on the review site with your screen name?  That's what I'm surprised BC.org did not get removed.  Whatever "communications" were made, the onyl change seems to be to remove this thread from the Active List, as if women who post on this thread are responsible for some of the actions they are accused of having done.

well, I am not concerned about the Moderators being mentioned.  I've done enough to try to defend BC.org, without BC.org doing anything to defend the women who regularly post on this thread.

I wouldn't be surprised, given what the "moderators" have done so far, if they did delete this thread. Certainly haven't tried to defend anyone who posts here.  Taking the accusations and doing nothing.

Oh, of course, removing it from the Active thread.  That's a powerful defense against the charges of bullying.   Very powerful.

In defense of BCO, what can they do about what's happening on another site? They can report to the other site about what's happening, but that's it, as far I can see. It's up to the site to do their own moderating and policing and we're all, including BCO, at their mercy.

I think our BCO mods are trying to beef up our system and while we may not all agree with the way some things are done and with some of the decisions, at least they are responding to our requests for increased moderation.

Hi all can't believe how much I missed today. I'm back at school, so of course this web address is blocked. I'm really sorry to see so much happening to hurt BCO on that other site.

smiling - yes, increased moderation including 2 deletions of posts by Blue today.  Hard to imagine Blue puttiing ANYTHING on this thread that might now be considered confrontational.

Listen folks, I'm taking a break from BCO for a while.  Just tired of having to defend this site, and sick of being quoted.  If I ask to be deleted, I'll let you know if I come back. Sunflowers
