Extreme Hot Flashes with Chemo

I have hormone positive, HER2- ILC and my treatment plan was to start Chemo prior to any surgery due to the size of my mass - 7.9 cm.

I am currently undergoing chemo - A/C and will be switching to Taxol in a few weeks.

What if anything, have any of you ladies found to help with hot flashes?

I was going into a natural menopause when my dx was made - now it is an unnatural forced menopause due to the chemo and no Estrogen/Progesten allowed.

Let me know if you have found some ways to help with this.

Effexor in a low dose is supposed to help with hot flashes. Gabapentin helps with joint pain, hot flashes, night sweats. I did not have them during chemo, but once my ovaries were shut down and AI's. I was perimenopausal prior to chemo. Doesnt' eliminate hot flashes, but helps is to layer clothes...I don't wear anything heavy any more...just get way too hot.
