Meece -- that photo is truly a treasure!!!!

How wonderful of you to share it with us. Thank you.

I'm glad that Matt is safely back and will add to the prayers for his care to be brilliant as they sort thru whatever issues are determined.

    xx00xx00xx00xx

P.S. My brother continues along in the hospital. Indications are that he will very possibly be released at the beginning of next week. He is making amazing progress and is now personally taking care of his burns (in anticipation of being on his own again.)

P.P.S. My neice Kelly (that we prayed for some time back) is getting married tonight. Well actually I guess is now married as of this hour. It was a parents only affair on the beach. We will all join together for a celebration in two weeks.

((((((((((((Mum))))))))))))))) thinking of you in the waiting & watching mode. Tell your dear TinyFishy that we are all surrounding the both of you with our prayers of support.

Lynniea...... I continue to hold you in my heart & prayers as well.

Thank God for your brother's strength to progress Faith!! How sad it must have been for him lying there with no one even knowing it was him. That still gives me goosebumps.

You're still pretty up there in my prayers 3jays, but you're kind of in a holding pattern, if you know what I mean.

video of DD's youth group Haiti trip.  My DD is the one lugging the big bags & up on the roof (several shots) wearing her pink colored skirt & white t-shirt.  Enjoy.

I loved it!!!! What an inspiring glimpse of their mission trip!  Eph, your "little one" is quite the gymnast!  Does it make you nervous to see what she was doing?  I would have been a wreck if were there in person watching my child walk the tightrope.

I pray that the scan went smoothly, Mum.

Lynniea, I miss you, hope things are going well.

Since she was home safe when I 1st saw the video & I didn't know it was happening when it was, I am fine with it.  She's done stuff like that since she was itty bitty so I'm fairly used to it by now.

Hi kc and everyone!  My life has been a whirlwind of activity since my surgery.
Last week every night we had "Family Camp" at church.  A children's minister came, and kids, parents, everyone had a great time with skits, games, puppets, and bible teaching.  I take photos each night and prepare a souvenior take-home flyer for all the kids, with photos of our fun times throughout the week.  (And willl also make a photo album.) Then this week, I've had to work late every night and things are crazy busy in the office.  Wheh!  I"ve been learning that God's will can often be a lot of work. Smile  I may only be able to come here once a week for a while.  Thank you all so much for your prayer support these past months, your kindess, and all the sweet hugs.  You have all made a huge difference in my life.  I'm thanking God for you!

So much as has been happening here.

Eph, I'm going to watch your daughters video next thing.

Mum and Lynniea, I'll be keeping you both in my prayers.  (((sweet hugs to you)))

Meece, what a beautiful photo of you and your son.  Holding you and your son in my prayer as well.  Direction, provision, wisdom, healing....the whole works!!

I'm healing up ok from my surgery.  I'll need an in-office "nip-tuk" in several months for a large pucker in the center of my chest.  It's like a third eye!!  LOL!!  Now that the ace bandage is off, my muscles are more sore.  But all is healing just as it is suppose to and I'm much more comfortable without the implants.  Whoda thunk it!!

Here is a photo from "Family Camp".  At the end of the week someone gets "slimmed"--a girl or a boy. Which ever team earned the most points that week...that girl or boy get to pour green slime over the other teams girl or boy.  This year the girls won, so a boy got slimed.  See below:

Lynniea, now is the time to be the LAZIEST you think you could ever be!!!! If you move too much, you'll get your drain tubes working on getting rid of the fluid you've built up by moving. Don't bend down, or up, remember as it is hard on your muscles. Don't drive. Don't do laundry or housework and for heaven sake, don't mow the lawn!!!! Sit in a chair and play Queen Of The House for a couple of weeks.\

When the day nurse comes to visit, have her check your tube to make sure it's taped down comfortably now that you're moving around. It may need adjusting.

    You done good!!!!

Lynniea, great to hear you are on your way to recovery!  Although I had a segmental mastectomy, I did not have drains.  I had surgery on Friday, was down flat for two full days and went back to work on Monday.  I suppose if I had had drains it would have made me stay down longer.

    Good to see you, Raj!

Our cable and internet have been out, and I think it is going to take a lot to catch up on everything.  Matt is safely home, and a friend who is a disabled vet has been taking him to Southern California to get the VA ball rolling.  They went to the VA to have Matt's Cumadin checked, but they won't do it because he has not been released from the Dr. in Japan.  I am concerned that until all the red tape clears, he is unable to get medical supervision.

It's not easy reliquishing our empty nest.

Hi Ladies, so much to catch up on!

Lynniea ~ Glad to see you on the other side of your surgery, look after yourself!

Faithroad ~ ((((((((BIG HUGS)))))))) so happy to 'see' you again.  Camp sounds like a lot of fun but also a lot of work for the adults! The slime picture is great and yay go girls!! LaughingWink

Meece ~ I will pray that things move quickly.  My mom is on cumadin and I know how important it is to check the numbers to make sure it is working effectively... praying that it is! Btw, totally understand the concerns, once you're a mom you will be, even when they have their own kids.  My MIL still worries over my hubby with his cholesterol numbers! :)

Barbe ~ You are so realistic, yet so encouraging! What a great gift God has given you!

    Hugs to all!

Today we were all loaded onto an airplane and had our security lecture, including how to buckle your seat belt etc. The plane was backing up when there was a sudden HUGE and unexpected crashing sound and a lurch.

The towing machine broke it's arm and crashed into the nose of the plane.

We were all just a bit startled, but everyone was fine.

Made me SO aware of how much I travel with no stories to report.

So this is a praise report of gratitude.

We all switched concourses and got out only about 2 hours late overall.

    Feeling especially full of gratitude.

Then I got on my laptop and here's the picture my daughter posted tonight on FB:

This is my grand-daughter's hand in the back yard.

I am brought to tears by this image.

Hope that it brings a sense of hope to your heart.

Butterflies are the souls of people who have passed!!! They 'borrow' the form, don't permanently live in them.

Freaky, I just saw this as someones 'signature':

How special that photo is!  So glad you are safe, Faithie.

     I Stand Amazed

I stand amazed in the presence
    Of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me,
    A sinner, condemned, unclean.

    Refrain

O how marvelous! O how wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
O how marvelous! O how wonderful!
Is my Savior's love for me!

For me it was in the garden
He prayed: "Not My will, but Thine."
He had no tears for His own griefs,
But sweat drops of blood for mine.

    Refrain

    In pity angels beheld Him,
And came from the world of light
To comfort Him in the sorrows
He bore for my soul that night.

    Refrain

He took my sins and my sorrows,
    He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calvary,
    And suffered and died alone.

    Refrain

When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
'Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

    Refrain

It's amazing how just having another person in your house limits your time to do things such as participate in these boards!

That butterfly picture reminds me of a little song I used to sing to my boys.  There are hand gestures that go along with it for the children but here are the words.

    Fuzzy little caterpiller

    Climbing up a tree.

    He wiggled once

    He wiggled twice

    He wiggled right at me!

I put him in a box

Now, don't you move I said.

But, when I opened up the box

    It was a butterfly instead!

Now I could never make one

    No matter how I try

    For only God in Heaven

    Can make a butterfly!
