{{JO}} Good for you. Don't beat yourself up just keep on keeping on. Once you hit around 2-3 months, you will feel so much better.
-
Thanks for the encouragement Barbara - I needed that.
-
I know it's been said before, but it is so nice to announce to the doctor/nurse/staff to change my status to non-smoker, the savings to the pocket, and not to be treated like a leper at public events or places!
Keep going jo and everyone else - we're all doing great!!!
-
Great News ob2! Jo don't beat yourself up on 2 puffs.. You are doing awesome! I never realized how much I didn't smell when I was smoking. I've always like the smell of a lit cigarette but hated to smell it on someones clothes. Of course my smell sense is the strongest it has every been. Just that stale smell enough is a turnoff.
-
Kal - Doing a happy dance with you.
-
akeefe and Jo, I'm joining Barbara in a happy dance for the two of you, you are doing so well!! hugs, Karen
-
13 days and counting!!!!!
-
o2b: Happy dance!!!
-
Jo, having stumbled on this thread in the "active discussions" I just wanted to drop by and congratulate you. Quitting is the hardest thing, especially with little or no support from the people around you. Maybe your DH is a little envious-- or maybe he thinks you're not really going to stay quit? If so, you will prove him wrong! Once he sees it's doable, maybe he'll want to quit too.
If he does, I hope you will keep a big cigar lit in an ashtray at all times to make it harder for him. (lol, just kidding!)

Jo, it has been two weeks now! That is incredible! You can do it.
-
-
Kal - That is what I needed. I can do the virtual drinks with no problem. Can't do drinks for real.
I brought this along for the "ride".
-
Ride 'em cowgirl.
-
jeez, i can do only do that virtually with out a cig....hehehe!
-
ooooh did I say that out loud?
-
Kal - Yes you did my dear. Isn't he some piece of eye candy???? I am willing to share ladies.
-
Speaking of eye candy ... I saw an oncologist at my cancer center Tuesday that I'd heard the name, but never seen him. OMG! I want to switch doctors!! Might as well have something good to look at while we are going through this crap.
-
OK.... So my new computer doesn't do pictures.... YUCK!
Had to log into my very slow old laptop but, I FINALLY made it!
Did someone say PARTY???!!!!!
We have several milestones to celebrate!!!! Kal.... 10 MONTHS TODAY!!! Jan... 10 months on 7/20!!!! and Jo 2 WEEKS TODAY!!! Congrats to you all!!! And here's to many more!!
I got the OK to have our party at a house that, in my next life, I would like to become accustomed to living in... LOL
Come on over....

Drinks by the pool, anyone???
-
Bama,
Nothing wrong with having a nice "view" while going through all of the treatment.... Hopefully, Dr. "handsome" will make himself present at the rest of your appointments!! lol
Jo,
Wow.... Now THAT'S a cowboy.... almost makes it worth moving west for!!!
-
There are benefits that come with living in Texas - the cowboys are hunks.
Bama - My MO is absolutely gorgeous - you are right - might as well have something good to look at while we are going through this crap. As a side note, DH also sees the same MO and I have made sure our appts are not on the same day. Yes, there is a method to my madness - LOL!

Kal - 10 Months TODAY - Big Congrats. My gift to you is the cowboy - enjoy girlfriend.
Seaside - Love the house - I could get used to living there.
Jan - 10 Months Smoke Free - That is fantastic!!!!! Here is a little something for you,
Hey Jan - Save a Horse - Ride a Cowboy! Giddy Yup!!
-
LOL Jo.... I am familiar with that song... just won't ever listen to it the same again!!! Wouldn't life be grand if "he" was the new oncologist?!!!
Massages anyone?

-
Dinner is served!!!

For the seafood gals....

Something for the steak lovers...

And even a vegetarian option...
-
Yes he could be our new oncologist - wouldn't be able to stay away though. I'm bad - LOL
Love the food - looks yummy and the view is beautiful. I could use a massage about now - maybe "he" will do the massages????
-
LOL Jo,
I know I wouldn't dread my appointments the way I do if I knew THAT was what I had to look forward to... My MO, while brilliant, is a bit on the geeky side including wearing a bow-tie! Sigh.... I guess I'm paying him for his brain and not his looks but, nothing wrong with the whole package either!!
-
Seaside - My MO is Lebanese and has the cutest smile - he just makes you feel good even if you really don't. He has the perfect personality to be a MO.
-
O2B,
Just wanted to send a quick HURRAY for the clean scan!! That is just such great news! With all we have been through, it is such good news when we find our symptoms are due to 'just' getting older!! Who would have thought THAT would be good news??!! LOL
Getting older used to make me sad, until I realised that many of our sisters never got that chance.... Now i say..... 'Bring it on!'!! -
-
Thanks Seaside! Wow what a party! Where's the desert? How about this...

-
O2B,
Was just sitting here thinking I could go for something sweet!!! Thinking those desserts will hit the spot (although I think I may have a very small dish of some ice cream as the 'real thing')!!!!
'Night Jo!!! -
I would like to take a minute and thank all you lovely ladies for helping me get through the past 2 weeks. At times, it has not been easy and your support has really helped me stay on track. I know I have said it before, but quitting smoking was so much easier than my journey through BC.
