Thanks, everyone. Miko, my other kitty, must have known I was feeling low. He dropped half a mouse by my bed this morning as an offering. Unfortunately, Tim stepped on it, so I was awakened earlier than planned...Nice for a laugh!

Normally when I bury a pet, I plant some daffodil bulbs with it. But I was too worked up to remember that. Plus, we had to layer on lots of big rocks so nothing would dig him up. I had to put down a neighbor's cat once while they were out of the country. It's kind of nice for all of us to know that each spring Punky is pushing up daisies!

OH, Anne, that is SO sweet of Miko, quite a tribute seriously, to give you such a precious offering.  Aren't all warm creatures the BEST!  they really do "speak" a wondeful launguage.  Hope Miko gets special treats for dinner tonight.

Can't NOT believe you re:  "pushing up daisies."  Paint some daisies on the rocks. SO special.

I'm late this morning -- Anne, I'm so sorry about Murphy -- it must have been traumatic to find him, although in the long run better to know for sure.  Very touching about Miko trying to comfort you -- and providing a laugh in the process.   ((((((Anne))))))

Rosemary, I'm being very quiet in your bag!

When my daughter got her Jack Russel/Shih Tsu mix I was the one watching her kids while she worked and therefore watching/training the dog too.  I learned one day how nicely trained he had become to me when we were out in the yard and I saw him with something in his mouth.  I told him to come to me and to give, at which point he dropped a dead baby bird right in my hand.  So that day I also learned, yet again, that I can do some pretty dumb things.  Now I tell him to drop it.

ETA Happy Anniversary, Barbara!  and Still waiting on Rosemary, but maybe not in the bag, I'm claustrophic. 

Cindy....She is doing great! We have had no accidents in the house for the last 7 days. As far as her going into the crate, I gave her a hunk of turkey lunch meat the first night you told me and then the next night she went right in and turned to get the treat. I think she is a pretty smart cookie! Thanks for you help.

Perhaps, once we've posted our positive reviews we should stop visiting the review site, just as many of us have stopped visiting the other site. Put it on "ignore" so to speak.

I'm so sorry about your kitty, Anne. At least you know what happened. I'm in an apartment, so my departed furbabies are cremated. I got a human-sized urn and there are currently 3 in there (ShuShu, Micheline and Birdie ) with photos, vaccination tags and a few small favorite toys. I've already told the fam to put the urn at my feet in the coffin when I go. They slept on the foot of my bed while alive, so they can sleep at my feet forever.

I talked to Hadley today. She accidently pulled out her JP drain rolling over in bed and had to have it replaced. She's still sore and stiff, but still doing walks around the unit. She expects to be discharged tomorrow or Sat. I told her to ask about home nursing checks, since she can't exactly see, much less change a bandage on the back of her neck.

Patty, that was a little bit of a "test" - and she bit the bait, hook and all ;-)))  Sorry, I'm done now.  PROMISE not to post about that review site again - have all the information the Mods might need.  We all know, there's only one ( banned) person who watches this particular thread as closely as that poster does.....tee, heee....exactly!   

 Now, on to important things:  SOLDIERS, are, get ready for it, stips of Toast, that you cover with Marmite, or not, and dip into your soft piled egg, which sits in an egg cup, with it's little "head" (aaugghh!)  cut off, so ou can dip your "soldiers" into it ;-)))

So sorry to hear about Hadley pulling out a drain - that HURTS!  I don't know if they are in every state, byt the VNA ( Visiting Nurse Association) we SO wonderful for me the first few days after I was home.  Being in the hospital for less than 24 hours after a BLM, surprised me.  It was VERY good to be home, but WOW!  Speaking of "drive bys."

Patty .. It's hard not to read the reviews and the comments.  I have MTF and must talk myself out of reading sites that elevate my blood pressure.  Although, I'm so happy every time I see a new positive comment!

Blue .. I know how much you miss Dahlia .. I miss Bobo too and think about him every day.

We have our little Puffy and Spotty in their urn as well ... and they will be mixed with our other fur children when their time comes, and then with the first one of us to go.  Whoever is left has to get a family member to promise to mix the ones in the urn with the remaining person's ashes when that person goes.  We still haven't quite worked out after that, but probably in a columbarium where we retire. 

Love gifts from pets -- the feral outside cat that adopted us when we lived in the Caribbean used to bring us lizard heads and leave them on the front step.  She loved us, and would let us pick her up (she liked to sniff our faces to make sure we were OK).  We called her Cat B (Cat A lived inside).

Forrest brings me his soggy fur play-mice because he is my little man and he loves me.  He hunts them on the bed (huff, huff, huff) and then puts them on my pillow. 

Riley, glad that Hadley is getting well enough to be discharged and hope she can arrange home nurse visits!

EDITED:  Rosemary .. glad to hear from you and that your MUGA was in the normal range.  And congrats on 4 years on an AI.  I only lasted one week on Arimidex.  Kudos to you!

Damn it, damn it, damn it! (sorry)   Just got off the phone with Hadley's supervisor, who sounds like a cold stone beyotch. She informed me that Hadley can't receive PTO donations from anyone because she's been in this position less than 6 months. And she didn't sound at all regretful about that.
