yet another liver mets question...

Options

I've done lots of searches on this and I know that liver mets can have no symptoms... But do these sound like liver met symptoms?

Lately I've been having a rumbly gurgle in my right side, high up on ribs right under the breast. It's most frequent after I eat. And I get occasional twinges and pains on that side, right under the breast as well. Sometimes on the left side as well.

I've had a BMX, node dissection, and have a screwed up back from my job, so it's so hard for me to determine what may be a new pain and what's not. Gosh I'm so tired of worrying...

I think the twingy pains are a possible symptom. These could also be gall-bladder related, have you had that checked?

If in doubt, call your dr. I always think that is best for peace of mind. :)

    Good luck!

I have liver mets. I had symptoms. I have not heard one under the breast though. The symptoms to  live mets are, right shoulder pain, adomial pain under the right right in the stomach. Stomach is in constant pain, itching of the body for no reason, lack of appetite, loss of weight, jaundice, nausea, vomiting, weakness, fatique, and white and chalky stools.

So I do not think it is the liver you are having problems with. Unless you have shown some of these signs. I think you do need to get this checked out. You also know your body better than anyone else does. Please call your Dr.

Wish you the best, Many blessings

minxie - that sounds more like gallbladder symptoms to me, particularly because it happens after you eat.  Start paying attention to how you react to fattier foods, maybe change your diet up a bit and see what happens.

It could also be nothing - I was convinced I had liver mets recently, as I was having twinges, what I thought was bloating and some nausea.  CT was clear.  Sometimes our minds can really play tricks on us!

thanks for the help guys. I've had my gall bladder out for 10 years but have had digestion issues on and off since then. I ate a lot of fatty foods over vacation and I'm wondering if that's it... as I have none of the other symptoms.

I think I know what the problem is - we had an acquaintance die of pancreatic cancer recently and I have been obsessing. He was my exact age, diagnosed same time as me... The same thing happened when I heard of his relapse. My hold on my mental well being is very tenuous it seems. I can feel all the panic and anxiety symptoms kicking in to full gear - the primary one being compulsive obsession over symptoms. And I have no Xanax! Sigh, I thought I was doing so well... Off to the psych office today.

Thanks for your patient answers again - you guys are the best.
