Hi barbe 1958. Yes you have the very great idea. When I get feeling tired. I go to bed and get my bible and read and read, get the relaxed just lay my bibile on my stomach and fall asleep. Other things that really relaxes me to get my mind away from things, I get one of my guitars out and just love to set and play my guitar and sing. Oh Oh, I should not have said that one. I really cannot sing a tune in a bucket, but that does not stop me. I really enjoy singing. If it is a songs I really love. My husband always tells me "you cannot sing". I tell him I really do not care it makes me feel better. I love music, I do like you do I most of the time have my radio in my jeep loud. Then a really great song comes on, the louder it goes. I really laugh when I have to go somewhere,my son Brian always drives me. Brian turns on the motor, "My what are you doing, you yelled at me for that"  I always reply it was a great song and I always blast it then. It really important for us to do what makes us happy and what we enjoy. I had a mastectomomy on my right breast. It was really hard to beleive I had cancer, they moved so fast on me it was all over in 2 weeks. I had to go for test & doctor like every 2 days. I did not have any pain or feel lumps. Then it was one day after it really hit me really hard. Part of my body is gone. Brian always when he comes home tries to calm me. "Mom just be glad they found it early, I do not ever want to lose my Mom" Then he always brings tears to my eyes. Brian go in my room and brings out 2 guitars and Mom lets do some picking. We get really lost with time. I think that is why I love playing guitars because Brian got me started before he went to college.I stayed with it and so glad it is a great pleasure. Sorry for going on & on. Bye have a blessed evening.

Great first post purpleecho!! We know a lot about you now. Have you ever read books from a Christian book store? They are wonderful stories about life and give great insights into the teachings of Christ. Try to find some in your local library even. They are worth the hunt.

How wonderful to be able to share the joy of music with your son. I can't sing for beans either, but I LOVE to!!!! The louder the music the less you can hear me....so let it rip!

Thank you for liking my first post. Yes I do go to the Christian book store. I have been a Christian for, owe my. For little over 40 years. Yes, but I am always buying more and more Christian books. My husband gets upset, but I love to read them. My Brian just laughs and ask "What new books do you have?" Brian went to Asbury College in Kentucky, Brian wants to be a preacher. He still has to go through Seminary yet. Right now Brian  is a Youth Minister in a Church in Middletown, Ohio. Brian really loves his job.

I am sorry to hear that Breast Cancer took your breast.Yes that would really be hard to take. I really think that God was my holding post. Because I am the Child of God. And God loves me. Yes I have other health issues that are also with me. God is the one that always with me and helps me in my hard times. I did find it hard but I was one of my doctors said to make sure that I get my Power of Attorney and the Will made out. That is something we all should do, but the doctor said this one illness is going to take my life. Now it is done, and Brian knows about it and what will happen and Brian said do not worry it will be alright. I am ready for all that will probably happen. Well I should go now. And it is really nice to hear that someelse says they can not sing, but does it any way. Yes I will keep pickening on my Guitar and singing.

Hmmm, your doctor was a bit dramatic!!! DCIS is the easiest breast cancer to treat as it is all contained within the ducts. Once the ducts are all removed, so is the cancer.

I think that's neat that your son wants to be a preacher. I always wanted to be one, but in my youth, women NEVER were preachers....sigh.

SoCalLisa I loved your pictures.  I loved always when I see the air ballon in the air. I do not see then very rare here in little town of ohio. I love flowers also, I us to always work hard in my 2 flower gardens in my front yard. Then I got to a point I could my other illness was getting worse. I could not bend over, so I would try to just work on my knees and then I could not get up without help. So I give all my bulbs to my neighbor. and just grass all in the front yard. I have PPMS in a power wheel chair. I do not want to get to that. When I was totaled I had breast cancer, they did tell me that it was in my ductal. That the right one really had lot and was full. I did not really seem concerned about trying to get cured. I looked at it this way, I am 56 years old. I have a husband and son. I have so much other battles I am fighting on for the rest of my life. I just wanted it removed so it would not get any farther in my body. My dad had cancer that took his life. My mom had something wrong with her right side breast for many years and asked me what it could be. I told mom she should have a mammogram, but she refused. My parents we very old fashion. That was fine, best the was the best mom and dad in the whole world. So when we went in to talk to the doctor on what was going to be done. I total doctor to just remove it. I did not talk it over with my family at all. My son was there and right at my side. When I told the doctor that, Brian grabbed my hand and give a big squeeze and a big smile on his face. The doctor said are you sure. I told him yes. Then they did my surgery 2 weeks later. My husband & Brian was so glad with what I did. Brian knows that I have a limit on my life, and talked to me and thanked me. Brian said that he is not ready to lose me at all. So if I was younger and not battle my life illness I would have maybe went a different way. Nice to talk with you see you around.

SoCalLisa, yes this sounds like a really great group to get into. Brian is my mircale child. I had 7 miscarriage. Then it was when I was 30 before I found out I was pregnant. But I was in a car wreck a car ran the stop sign, I seen the car was not slowing down. I hit my brakes and blowing my horn. Then it was me seeing my car in the passenger door of the car. Then when I did open my eyes one of the ladies from where I worked was standing at my door. Told me to keep my head on the headrest. Then they came and took me to the hospital. They asked if I could be pregnant I told them I do not think so. They did 14 xrays on me. The time of the month did not come I just thought it was my nerves. Then it never came the next month went to my doctor and he said that I could pregnant. He ran a test on me and came back and said that I was. But was very concerned because of all the xrays. He told me I could termante it right then. I looked at him and said  What do you think I am going to do. I will have this baby.  Then he told me what all could be wrong with the baby. I said you are not going to change my mind. So he was very much telling I could not do this and no medication but the vitamins. So Brian was born on the exact day he was to be. When Brian came out, the doctor was so happy, He has 10 perfect fingers 10 perfect toes and a perfect body all the way. I was so happy, God was with us the whole time. I am so very proud of my wonderful son.  I always took Brian to church with me and I had some days after Brian was 10 years old he would always just walk to church. Brian has always gone to church. That is the reason I call Brian my mircale child. He want to go to college to be a preacher. So I paid for Brian to go. Right now Brian has been a Youth Minister in a church and married a wonderful young lady. It has almost been 2 years. Janeen's dad is a Minister. So Brian has been such a son I am very happy of and very proud of.  Brian does not live real close to me but it only takes 40 minutes to get to his apt and church. Brian has always said   Mom if you ever need any help and not feeling really good and need me you call at any time day or night. I will be their for you. Yes I am so very proud of my mircale child Brian. He also started  me playing guitar I always loved to hear Brian play his guitar, at times Brian will bring his guitar and we play together. It is really wonderful, of course I not as good playing as Brian is. Sorry for going on and on. I will see you later.

I like your house picture better than Bar Harbour!! Next time, get more foreground and less sky. If you move the picture up your screen to cut off the sky, you'll see what I mean. It gets rid of those houses up the hill and makes the coloured houses oh, so much more important!

Hi JO! Yeah for the 8 years!!!!! I know a few still come to BCO & I see them posting on other threads. Some I am friends with on Facebook & I keep in contact with. a few have had a few scares but they weathered those storms & are doing good.

As for for me I was one who didn't have BC, but hung around for waiting & the friends I made here. Until this past February when I found something in the left breast where I was biopsied 4 years ago. In May 4 years almost to the day I was DX with the beast! Some how I always knew I wouldn't get away Scott free! My DX is in my signature line. All done with RADS now & hoping it doesn't make a return visit.

It's good to see you popping in to say Hi!
