weird pain

Out of no where.,my right hand only,on top above and below the knuckles hurts so bad, I can't open anything or even make a fist. It's been about a week now.  I'm thinking arthritis, however I was reading that arthritis usually hits both hands together.  My other thought is, maybe I slammed my hand into something and don't remember, but no bruising...  anyone ever have this?

    I have not had this, but you could have a pinched nerve. A pinched nerve in your neck or back can cause arm/hand pain and sometimes severe if the nerve is impacted enough - If its compressed you can lose ability to move the part of the body the nerve is responsible for. Just a thought for you to check on - chiropractor can help a ton.

    Hi, I do have a pinched nerve, but it affects my other side, and this isn't the same kind of pain.. It's more like i have a bad bruise , and it's not affecting the rest of my arm, shoulder, or neck, it's localized in one spot, top of  hand, over the knuckles.
